Does this means that Samsung will not release any Windows Phone 9 devices?

samsung can make this platform succeed if they want, but tizen is in the back of their mind.

No they couldn't, Samsung like to have everything done for them, then they jump on board.

Galaxy-Storm...why don't you go home do some research?
Don't just follow Samsung blindly...you realise what S4 did to most of you? Like i told you...most of you are disappointed.
Now please don't cry and change the subject.

Ruckus...I'm actually quite bright. I'm also very sarcastic....please tell me you are familiar with the term. I'll dumb it down for you - now if only Nokia could sell 'lots' of units.

Don't be all "superior" and boasting of intelligence, just lets keep to tech talk.

I am American and I tend to want American companies to better than foreign ones.

Even if that american phone is made in China with parts supplied by the foreign company mentioned above?

Then we need more Americans with higher education degrees and training which we are rather far from.

Windows devices aren't selling well just yet as android but I'm sure it will in the future. Just leave the windows devices to nokia and htc, ativ line-up isn't really successful at the moment.

The Ativ lineup in terms of hardware isn't competitive against the Lumia models at the moment. It reminds me of Samsungs early Android lineup that wasn't competitive to what HTC or Motorola had.

Actually many Windows based products are selling well like the Lumia's, PC's and the Surface tablet.

SAMSUNGS'S Windows products aren't selling well. Poor advertisement on Samsung behalf and really lack of good hardware to go with it.

Nokia is doing quite well.

THANK-YOU!!

There is a ton of truth to the fact that Sammy doesn't need WP. But to look at the non-support and non-promotion of their line ups since the Mango release, and it is pretty much a non-issue that Samsung is all in on Android (duh) and excited for their next project in Tizen.

I understand it, and think it is a good stragety for them, but do not lump all WP into that group.

Wp is not selling well?
Cause it has no apps and games.
This is good news.

Lack of games and apps? Does everyone prefer quantity over quality?? Sure Android has "more apps" but the apps Windows Phone has seem far superior.

Can you give me an example of superior wp apps ? :)

@faisolbauuz sure for one my wifes WP8 has a ringtone app that smothers Zedge (Androids best ringtone app). Oh yeah no ads either!!! As for games how about the Xbox live marketplace. The Google Play store is flooded with Apps that have viruses/spyware and not to mention those DAMN annoying ads!!

I updated GTunes on my Photon and now everytime I go to play a song I have to watch a 30 second ad.. Yay!!! (Sarcasm)

Lumias are doing just fine with WP8, and it's Samsung that isn't selling well. That's cause their smartphones are crap, compared to what Nokia can offer ;o)
