Samsung Impression is now available with AT&T
Samsung's more-than-hot cell phone, the Impression, is now available for purchase on AT&T's online store. We have already shared with you our positive impressions of the device back at the CTIA event a few days ago, but who wouldn’t like it? It looks well, features a large 3.2-inch touch-sensitive OLED display and a nice side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. However, we won’t waste time on citing long lists of specifications and will get right to the point. AT&T gives the Samsung Impression in blue color for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate, hooray!

yeah if this is anything like the Glyde or any other touch screen phone Samsung has put out, then it is a flop. And it is on ATT, so we already know it is going to drop a ton of calls.

yeah you're totally right, The eternity was a horrible phone that no one liked. And i also forgot how ATT has the least towers in the world. The Impression did leave an impression on me thats for sure. Its somewhat on the heavy side, but it feels really great in your hand, and shows little to no lag switching from portrait to landscape. the touch screen is perfectly responsive. Only unknown for me is the battery life, but samsung normally puts out a great battery

ive had att since they were cingular in 2004... i have never had a problem with dropped calls or else i would not still be with them...the claims u read from other verizon fanboys arent always true. what u need to do godfather, is locate a bridge nearest to u and just jump off and do the world a favor.

Yea that's the dumbest thing ever. If AT&T has SOOOOOOOO many dropped calls why are they the 2nd largest carrier and only RECENTLY taken out of the first spot only because of a buyout? OBVIOUSLY if they had as many problems as you VZW trolls talk about they wouldn't be where they are. Maybe they don't have the best coverage in your area but I hear people saying Verizon doesn't have coverage in there area so who cares it's a moot point. You suck VZW wang till your face is blue get a life.

i have had bad luck with samsung products, looks like a decent phone though...the storm has no lag at all switch from portrait to landscape. obviously if you have no coverage with verizon you would get an at&t phone but the point is that verizon has the best average coverage.

Godfather used to have some intelligent input...but now he's just another VZW fanboy. Anyway, many mobile websites have had a very positive impression on the Impression. So...this comment fails.

There are other phones in this world besides the storm. You are like a robot VERIZON VERIZON STORM STORM. Thats all you that old guy at the top and Legion talk about. Seriously, if you all love that phone so much start your own fanclub on your own website. SPRINT FTW.

This phone is amazing definitely changing my view of att. Even though i work for them, and hate it. I have Sprint but would definitely get this for sure about time att gets some phones like this. Besides pantech, and the quickfire what a disaster.

11. Jyakotu posted on 07 Apr 2009, 19:58

The Quickfire wasn't all bad. It's just people were stupid to plug their charger in the wrong way.

It was recalled because it didnt meet att standards. I work for warranty exchange and i got so many calls on that phone even before the recall was sent out. Trust me it is a bad phone. They set up there own department to take the calls for this phone, its a piece.+

same deal with the W580. its finally getting better with the key cracking issue because people are not using the W580 anymore! why didnt Sony just fix the issue, for real?

15. heavybreathing posted on 08 Apr 2009, 09:02

They need to bring back the W580i, it was amazing job security for the warranty department. Now all we rely on are the LG Shines and the VUs.

16. tflex posted on 08 Apr 2009, 09:34

i still have my 580i...i had a lot of fun with that phone's music player, radio, and i even used the pedometer. the music quality was amazing and the graphics were sharp as well. But like many other people, i had the cracked keys issue.

19. tflex posted on 09 Apr 2009, 00:37

ya that seems like a pretty sweet phone too.

Phone shuts off when texting frequently, not only this phone but both Impression phones which are identical and purchased at the same time. AT&T is replacing both phones for free as they are under warantee and have no physical damage. If the replacements have the same issues and the original purchase remains under warantee, then they will replace again at no cost.
