It's too bad there isn't some sort of regulation on who can get an internet connection. Reading some of these posts is almost painful.

Looks like some people should wait for a phone with grammar and spell check.

They don't compare at all. The xperia is a PDA running Windows Mobile and uses GSM technology, meaning it will only be usable with ATT and T-Mobile, while the Glyde is just a feature phone using CDMA technology, which is used by VZW, Sprint, Alltel, etc. The xperia will be wayyyy more advanced and customizable than the Glyde, which is basically the Voyager in a different form factor.

#56 is so right. We really do need a phone that checks your spelling.

Not to be mean, but what does that have to do with the Glyde?

the voyagers price isnt going to drop. the glyde is suppose to be cheaper. so no hopes of the voyagers price dropping anytime soon.

First, I want to comment on #62's post. You're right, grammar may not convey our true sentiment about anything... But it sure as hell helps you look like you know what you're talking about... Those who can't spell or speak English, should go back to community college and learn how to speak like an intelligent human being in American society rather than spend countless hours drooling in front of the computer over a phone that only intelligent and affluent people can reasonably afford.::sigh:: Now that I've got that out of my system... I am a proud Voyager owner and I'm a big fan of LG... But this new phone has got me a little worried that I may obtain a napoleanic complex! Man, this phone LOOKS incredible and seems to have 100% touch screen capability that the voyager doesnt. (As you all may already know from the dual screen argument)... My only question is, what can this phone do that the voyager can't? If it were a matter of being able to browse the internet better than the Voyager, I think that the Glyde would easily with in a contest between the two... But let's talk turkey here, it's not the phone that controls that but rather the Verizon network... OH, but MAYBE, this phone might be able to watch YOUTUBE videos, whereas the Voyager relegates that to some website called "minitube" or something like that. In all, since neither phone seems to have WiFi capabilities, and since I'm a stubborn Voyager fan/owner; I'm going to have to say that no matter what color it comes out in, there's not going to be much to separate these two phones in terms of features or performance! So let's just stop the hype on the Glyde and start praising the Voyager once again as the BEST PHONE IN THE UNIVERSE AND OF ALL TIME!!!!!!

Other than having full touchscreen functionality and no Mobile TV, there are no features that differentiate the Glyde from the Voyager. And no, unfortunately the Glyde will not have the ability to play youtube videos from the normal site, only the mobile version, just like the Voyager.

if its gonna take then 3 fng years to release the phone who cares anyways. Verizon phones suck. they need to wake up and start to analyze what people actually want.

cause when you take pictures on the voyager you can open it and use the touch screen to see yourself when you're taking pictures. its just a bonus though. i still like the glyde but the voyager can be more convenient considering that when you open it, you can use the five way navigator instead on the glyde, using the touch screen everytime for everything.

just got a hold of verizons phones coming out in the spring. Suprise suprise the Samsung Glyde is NOT one of them. Guess its gonna be summer before this ones out!!! Beginning to think its not really worth the wait, athough it doesnt seem verizon is releasing anything that great anyways.
