I wonder if the screen protected he lied about had anything to do with it. He said t was just a silicone case but the air bubbles in it are very obvious.
Oh and note to stupid people that wanna try this: if the BEEBEEs are not penetrating the glass they're bouncing off. Meaning be careful. You don't want your mom to be right when she said you'd put out an eye.

The silicon he referred to was the casing for the back. The air bubbles are resultant from a poor screen protector job.
He could have wore a protected eyeglasses or a regular eyeglasses while doing the demo, but those BB's bouncing off are actually won't be that fast to actually blind his eye from that distance anyway.
