Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) tablet gets updated to Android Jelly Bean in the US

A tasty treat is now in stock for the US model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 - its Wi-Fi-only variant, to be more specific. The tablet is being updated to Android Jelly Bean as we speak, thus getting all the benefits that the platform's new version...

I was dying for this update because 4.0.4 was not cutting it... But
That took to long so my Tab is rooted :) running CM10.1

generally all android OEM manufacturers are late on update. CM10.1 is nightly built only no stable. I got 4.1.1 official firmware fromhttp://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-P5100&pcode=TGY&os=1&type=3#firmware and flash it using Odin.

Happily on CM10 on my original Galaxy Tab 10.1. It really sucks that we didn't get the update. But whatever. I wouldn't have bought the 2 just for jelly bean anyways.
