Verizon announced today one of the latest additions to its Android lineup – the Samsung Galaxy Stellar, which is a rather simple handset made for first-time smartphone users. What makes it suitable for the purpose you ask? Well, it is the pre-configured dual interface option: in "Starter Mode", users are presented with a clean, uncluttered home screen hosting widgets for their favorite apps, contacts, and frequently used settings. If the user wants to, they can easily switch back to Standard Mode and get the traditional Android interface with all the flexibility and advanced features that it offers...

when the next iphone is released, iphone 4's price is predicted to be zero on-contract, but free is still expensive compared to it.

this is why 1 of every 4 android devices is a Samsung they are flooding the market with multiple crapware devices at multiple price points for different carriers. you have the S3 an awesome high end, the S2 a solid hiher end mid level device and hell if they market the OG Epic ( sprints variant of the Galaxy s) right it would be a good solid entry level... aarg.

this is actually good for verizon wireless.. I teach the workshops for android and iphone.. and normally when recommending a starter ( dummy proof ) phone I normally suggest the lg lucid or iphone for begginers.. and this phone will make life so much easier for those people 40+ ( age wise) who want to get into the smartphone era.
