Samsung Galaxy S4 wireless charging cover and pad ready for purchase
The Wireless charging pad uses an LED indicator to alert you if you have the phone on the pad incorrectly. A green light means that everything is copacetic while a yellow light means that something is amiss. The pad is compatible with all Qi enabled smartphones. Last year, Samsung offered wireless charging capabilities for the Samsung Galaxy S III.
You can now wirelessly charge your Samsung Galaxy S4 using the special back cover (L) and the wireless charging pad

I heard it will come with a bottle of astroglide to ease the pain a bit.

I know this is stupid but why do you guys think this is great? it is $90, I would rather pay for a $5 charger and save $85.

Even no need to pay $5 for a charger when it already comes with the phone

The USB port is one of the most common parts to break on its own on any phone with all the charging n video cable connecting. This is not just a novelty but it extends the life of the phone.

Of all the phones I've ever had, I've only had one's USB port break & that took 3.5 years. I personally think wireless charging is overrated. Until it can charge a phone just as fast as with a wire, I'm not interested. And I certainly wouldn't pay extra for it.

You couldn't have said it better! Wireless charging is IMO super overated and the logic beats me really! Nokia started this whole hype and even though I'm a big fan of Samsung (& a very happy owner of SGN2) I don't remotely see the sense of having a so-called wireless charger that ensures you cannot use your phone while charging. I'm happy being able to take my calls (discreetly i.e. without using speakers) while charging at the same time.
At least until someone comes up with TRUE wireless charging.

I came pretty close to getting the orb when I had the Nexus 4 but I resisted. I would get the dock for the Xperia Z and wireless charging for GS4 active though(if I ever get either), the flaps never having to be open is a necessity IMO.I never use the headphone jack.

making wireless charging a standard gradually will help to make more dust and water proof phones in future. Its the right step in the right direction.....

A couple things. One, you can't buy either one of these accessories from samsung's site, at least not right now. Two, looking at the gallery photos of the back cover, it looks like it's gotten thicker by a millimeter. The camera is now sunken into the cover, which means you won't be using a case if you want to charge this thing with the wireless back cover on.
Thanks, Samsung, I'm already to cases deep for this phone and now I can't use them. Was really looking forward to charging with my otterbox on.
