Being a successive device, it wasn’t totally surprising to see Samsung build upon its preexisting functions with its TouchWiz experience on the Galaxy S4. For starters, they totally revamped the camera experience, as it boasts an insane amount of neat tricks – even to the point of...

They tried to copy the Note 2 features over there, and as any port.... Right now I would take an Xperia Z or a Note 2. At least the stylus features there are accurately executed.

Has anyone ever considered that Samsung is taking a different path with their products, trying new features that involves EVERYONE's aspect of life and most importantly utilizing the most of what a SMARTPHONE should be!
HTC got good sound but still same basic htc... Nokia got a good windows phone but still same windows8 experience... Apple, well nothing changed there (ever!!)except a BIGGER phone oh and maybe going PLASTIC TOO... HELL all phone companies out there arn't doing NOTHING new with there phones except beefing the hardware! Lg is the only company who is taking on Samsung with similar features, who should be Samsungs tru rival i.e optimus g pro. To all that think Samsung is only putting gimmicks into there phones to sell more, then think about this... would u buy a smart tv or just a tv? Would you buy a car fully loaded or just a car? Would you buy a blu ray player or a dvd player? No, you wouldn't use all the features that were included but thats what made up your mind when you bought it... but yet those are gimmicks too right.

To the trash talkers, you aint gonna change nobodies mind cause im the red character and you're the blue one

Y
Good greif it sounds like I'm in a debate class

very well said...i've said this alot of times....Samsung is using new features for the technology to improve, for smartphone evolution, they are brave enough to gamble on un tested tech...and for the plastic issue its nfc and signal efficiency...for the Audio Quality...check this result who's the loudest.

Not gonna lie, some of these features really do sound gimmicky but, sometimes, that's just what I need in life. Sure you might never use these features from the moment you power on your phone but they're there to give your device a kind of 'personality' that other devices don't have. Its these types of gimmicks that differentiate one phone and its respective experience from another

Android is good, but Samsung is bad. Sony's android phones are the best. If you still don't prefer android maybe you should buy a nokia.

gimmicky or not, some of those features could come in very handy. much like the tv ad, how many times do I have my fingers in nacho cheese and the phone rings? IF the air gesture feature works, it would be one I would use a lot, just because i have a knack for getting phone calls when my hands are full or messy. i WOULD NOT buy a phone for gimmicks, but if a particular feature works, then it might push me to buy it. THIS is why I never buy a phone brand new...i'll wait at least 3-4 month until the bugs have been weeded out and/or fixed.

I admit that I'm a Samsung hater, and I used to love Samsung so much. Samsung has proven it to be garbage. ALL of the Samsung products I've bought rarely lasts more than half a year. On the other hand, Sony products always last the longest in my household. I still have a 13 year old Sony TV that works! Anyway, back to smartphones. You still don't realize how much of a waste those 'new features' are? They all require heavy hardware support and drains battery in no time. My friend used the features, and the one that is supposed to have him answer the call just by swiping made him hang up! Smart Stay just turns off every video every two seconds even if you are STARING STRAIGHT and NOT BLINKING at the screen. S voice is a pain, you can easily activate it just by pressing the home button a bit longer than that is needed to access the 'clean apps' feature. My friend constantly tells the S voice 'I want to delete you!' Samsung doesn't let users delete those useless features but they still occupy A LOT of storage space. Only 9GB left for a 16 GB version! And Samsung says 'JUST GET AN SD CARD' or 'BUY THE 32 GB one'! That is a total fail. One: The WORST thing about Samsung is that its devices cook up SD cards. Two of my friends, one with an S III mini, one with an S III, all had their SD cards melted because of the intense heat from the devices and there's no insulating layer between the card and the CPU. On the other hand, nearly all other top phone makers either install an 'auto shut down' or heat insulating layer around the card slot. And Samsung thinks that everyone is so rich that they could afford the 32 GB one. People who doesn't know about the storage problem is trolled. I mean, 16 GB is already enough for a lot of people. Samsung doesn't take the responsibility of telling everyone openly, but just secretly talks to Phonearena or whatever. Samsung is wasting our money!!
