Samsung Galaxy S4 Active passes through FCC bound for AT&T
We already know a fair bit about the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, and it looks like we've just learned a tiny bit more. The Galaxy S4 Active is planned to be a variant of the Galaxy S4 that trades off a bit on the spec sheet to offer a more rugged build, which is said to be waterproof. You know, for people with active lifestyles, or drop their phones in cereal a lot. One or the other. Well, one model of the device has just received FCC certification and looks to be headed for AT&T.

We've seen leaked video before, pictures of the device, and we've heard that the device will feature a 1080p display with a Snapdragon S4 Pro and an 8MP rear camera. None of that can be confirmed in the FCC filing, but what the filing does show is that the Galaxy S4 Active (model SGH-I537) will be launching on AT&T at the very least. The filing shows the device packing compatibility for LTE bands 2, 4, 5, and 17, which are the ones used by AT&T.

Rumor has it that we'll see the proper reveal of the device as part of Samsung's planned event on June 20th in London, so FCC approval would indicate that all is on schedule if that's the case.
