Samsung Galaxy S IV gets the teardown treatment, see what's inside

0. phoneArena 14 Mar 2013, 17:18 posted on

Unsurprisingly, another set of Samsung Galaxy S 4 photos have surfaced on the web, courtesy of the very same Chinese source that has been releasing leak after leak. This time we're treated to a look at the smartphone's insides - battery, motherboard, chips, and everything in between. Something worth knowing is that the Samsung Galaxy S 4, or at least the Chinese version of it, will pack a 2,600mAh battery...

And the surprise is gone. Why even have a show to announce it, when half the crap is leaked.

"Crap" is right. Well done Samsung, you pulled an Apple by releasing the EXACT SAME LOOKING device. Design was poor before and is unexcuseable now.

It's quite nothing like apple, fact this actually does differentiate from the s3. And the specs are much better than the s3 unlike anything we seen from the iphone 4 and 4s.

I said it looked the same as the SIII. To defend that would be ignorant. Samsung continues to make fun of Apple's practices of releasing products that look the same and then they decide to do the exact thing. I'm disappointed. Specs may be better, but general use will not be that much different.

I find you really ignorant and have a personality like a total brat. So much hate on Samsung, I hate to imagine your personality in real life.

If you don't like Samsung then just piss off. Ignorant fool.

Finally, someone who see's all the fools around here now. They're not even giving it the slightest chance and assuming the worst before any REAL specs is announced. It's terribly stupid of some people.

How dare you MrPhilo. How dare you. This is a tech website, we do not attack people's personalities. I think the SIV is a great device. I'm disappointed by it's design. That's all I'm saying. You are a terrible human for taking this further than what it is.

So what if I do not like a device? You're going to attack me as a person for my opinion on a cell phone? You are the child and I'm surprised and disappointed by your remark.

That was an terrible attempt in a comeback. Yes this is a tech sight, I don't see no rules of not bringing in personality.

Says the one with the name "RiseAgainst94" which i'm guessing is an 18/19 years old teen trying to act 'clever' being his keyboard.

The way you 'dislike' Samsung design is fine, but you keep hating it in a 'harsh' way which is pathetic, you keep bringing it down like its the worse design ever! Do you know what 'opinion' is? No! Not everyone agrees to your opinion, your comment is like saying everyone hates the design of the phone but no!

So what i'm saying is that your opinion isn't a fact (like what you think) that its a 'bad design'.

Good. Then give your opinion by saying that you do not think the design is bad (which is a good argument, I was "harsh." and then stop writing. You do not know me as a person and there is no need to attack me. I may be harsh to a cell phone, but you are being harsh to a human.

There are no rules about not bringing in personality, but common respect exists and it's a shame that you do not practice it.

I never said my opinion is the "only" opinion. It's a forum, so I stated my opinion: I do not like the design. Sure, I would buy the device, it's great. The design is not my favorite, but like I said: I was being harsh, but there is never a need to say "I hate to imagine your personality in real life."

That my friend, is being an ignorant fool.

I want to write got a problem. I know I don't, but your comment can give me an impression of your 'personality'. No s**t your a human, did I say you was an alien?

Ironic, 'common respect'. I don't think you can talk about that at all. The way you speak and commented on the first person.

That isn't being ignorant, its being honest. You show a side of your personality on the internet which could translate in real life as well.

My first comment was not disrespectful to a human, it MAY have been disrespectful to an opinion: that's fine.

Yes. My personality is that I do not like the design of the Galaxy SIV and your personality is that you respect cell phones more than humans. Nuff said. I'm done arguing with someone who does not respect people, it's useless.

Oh, and get educated before you attack somebody. "Did I say you was an alien?" You're obviously trash.

Oh I guess you never heard of sarcasm? My bad 'trash', terrible comeback. Just go home and cry. Such a pathetic user.

It would be, if it had a better ui. I hate sense, they really need to improve the simplicity and overall look of it. Not to mention it eats so much ram.

Personally I'd be disappointed if the design is the exact same, I don't think it will be. The beauty of android though if the likes of samsung tried to pull an apple an re release the same phone twice or three times in a row you can choose from high end top handsets from other manufacturers. Android users have the freedom of choice

GOOD POINT. I think that really does happen when you get to taste success. You become lax and unmotivated to lean away from what is tried and tested.

ahm dude i must admit that i like the design of the htc one more than the s4 design. but the s4 is better looking than the s3.
and as we know they had a huge success. i thnik that is the main reason why samsung dont changed the design radicaly.

i personaly like the design more than the s3 or other phones

design raiting:

1. htc one
2. s4
3. sony (cuz its nothing special if u make a smartphone just
rectangular).
4. lg nexus

sorry 4 my bad english xD

iPhone 4 and 4S is "EXACT SAME LOOKING" device
This Samsung is a different looking device from S3 but similar design language.

Kids these days...

That's a good argument, but the fact that Samsung attacks Apple for making identical devices would suggest that they would want to step forward with their designs, rather than sideways.

ignorant fool, thats why they called it 4 and 4S, unlike samsung with their SIII and SIV, with slight changes, iP4 and iP5 are different looking devices. but still , thak you sammy, now i'm 100% sure to buy a HTC One. Sammy can only copy apple (they even copy how apple release a new device--with almost 0 changes), and apple with no fresh air in their iOS, both can learn from HTC.

You should think again.
Samsung didn't have it under wraps like they did for the S3.

When I was looking at the leaked Samsung Galaxy S IV videos, I have noticed that front part of phone body is a bit transparent and looks like a glass fiber material or something like that. Or it is just me, anyone???

Just a skin to hide its design for test units.
They do this for cars also.
