just thinking...why PA tends to mention everytime about iphone and constantly compare a new phone to an iphone and this time (let alone htc one x) didn't mention that Nokia was the first one who used polycarbonate shell?

The iPhone is currently the most popular smartphone in the world. To not compare every new phone that comes out to the iPhone in some way would be crazy.

I'm not sure if the popularity is the right way to evaluate other phones

for the s3 yes it is and coming from there "MIGHTY S2" this phone should have blown what is expected to come out from all other companies this year....This phone is receiving praise because there isnt anything to compete with it currently....Apple hasn't released there flag ship yet....Motorola hasn't release theres yet....Sony hasnt released there yet....SO OF COURSE it is the best thing out....HTC has the remade EVO LTE and it is the same as the galaxy S3 if not better....OOO BUT THIS IS THE MIGHTY GALAXY so no matter if it HONESTLY sucks people are not goin to admit it!! like i said jus wait and we will see how long it last...

SGIII is quite disappointing in a way because of the hardware materials(plastic back cover) but i have to say the features and the structure (particularly the small bezel) is an impressive achievement it may not be new in the mobile industry but lets face it.. its more innovative compare to others. im using a windows phone right now and honestly with SG III's features and UX makes me like to consider this one to be my next phone.. :)

nice observation but some of the terminology gives me a hard time to understand fully the round up.. but over-all it makes me much more excited about the phone! :)

Yes it has the best around, FOR NOW! lol they are already speculating about an LTE model coming out later this year SO the people that are WAISTING there money on an UNFINISHED product are going to be SICK when they see other phones come out in about 2-3 more months....SERIOUSLY!

yah maybe but we'll see about that. there are no assurance to that either its a matter of risking whether you'll choose to wait longer (that can either disapoint you or not) or grab the best FOR NOW im pretty sure in about 2 yrs time sIII's main feature and functionality as well as its quad-core will not be that crappy..

NOTHING... and did you say IN 2 YEARS time it will not seem crappy! your really caught in the galaxy world...the phones coming out in about 4 more months will make sammy wish they had done better... sorry dude but dont kid yourself

All these reports and post about the GS3 and how short it is are really boring. My question is: is this phone the best HW/SW combination of 2012? I think yes, despite if the screen is not what PhoneArena wanted or even if the processor is not the desired one. The truth is there guys, it have the best processor, the best resolution of any phone, it have Android so you can flash whatever rom or ui you need. So please stop wasting time. Iphone 4s have 800Mhz dual core, and 500Mb rom... and still is 1st or 2nd place in sales... the important thing is not if the phone have 2ghz quad or 41mpixels camera, its the whole package, and the Gs3 has the best around.

I dont know what anyone else thinks about this phone but I am most concerned.about the US Galaxy S3. Since its.going to have a Snapdraggon S4 processor in it I just hope that it is smooth and fast. I dont care about quad or.dual core I just need smoothness.

Do you thInk the snapdragon s4 will be able to handle all of the features for the American version?

I am personally stoked about this phone coming soon (hopefully next month). I don't understand people with the plastic issue, doesn't the article already explain why plastic is chosen as the material? I can hold my phone with a firm grip and it feels solid. I guess most people think otherwise. Each to his/her own..

My tiny disappointment with the SGSIII is the US Variant which I know is just as powerful (if not more) as any other new releases, but I was hoping Samsung would step further and surprise us with a processor stronger than the rest of the competition at least. I won't have a problem with S4 if it runs smoother than my E4GT (and it runs buttery smooth even after 7+ months of owning it). If S4 is amazing, I won't have any complaints left.

I personally like the design. With the all natural theme (which I could honestly care less about), the design is like a shiny pebble that comes in blue and white I thought that was neat. The only aspect of the design that makes me twitch is the physical home button. I personally still prefer the 4 capacitive touch buttons if it must have any buttons at all.

Display with the pentile is ok for me because I don't look at my phone with a microscope. 4.8" is awesome as I've grown used to the 4.52" and it doesn't feel big at all for me.

I can understand people's comments that this may not be the great leap from SGSII but I think it can still qualify as significant upgrade since all the new features really seem useful.

Everyday I'm checking to see if this device has been officially announced here lol. Thanks PhoneArena.

All i can say is we will truely see where this phone lies in about two more months when the other flagship phones start to come out!! We will TRUELY see if samsung did well or not...But im tellin you, when the iphone 5, the motorola atrix 3, and the Sony Xperia Gx come out!! It will be A WHOLE new perspecitve on the Galaxy S3... In my opinion they are gonna wish they had made it what the "HYPE" was supposed to be. Its not goin to last the year is what im predicting..
