A leaked User Agent Profile (UAProf) is one of the least reliable sources of accurate information about an upcoming mobile device. For example, the leaked UAProf for the Galaxy Nexus claimed that it had a WVGA...

When does it launch in the U.S.? And will it be on VZW for the U.S. launch?
7. tedkord posted on 18 Feb 2012, 17:35 15 1
It will launch in the US 4 months or more after the rest of the world. IfVerizongets it, it will be at least 3 months later than the other US carriers. (They'll need the extra time to send it back to have half the RAM removed, and all the bloat installed.)

It needs to be released in the US early because it will be disappointing when Apple files a patent law suit and tries to have it banned.....and we know a law suit is coming!

Unless its a Droid by HTC or Moto it won't be on Big red. Verizon supports substandard phones. They passed on Samsung S2 didn't they.

Now of only the third Gen focus will match these exact specs....the focus does seem to mirror the galaxy s line, except for the multi core processor.

I'm thinking 720p screen. Not so sure about the quad core processor and the amount of ram.

16:9 is not bad. I could deal with that type of ratio.

600 x 1024 is not 16:9. 600 x by 1066 is lol. 600 x 1024 is more like 15.333:9 but came close.

If it has LTE, it will likely be with expensive Verizon and AT&T. Here's hoping that T-Mobile gets it *crosses fingers* >_

Why quad core ? Cant they just increase the clock speed of a dual core chip and add in an companion core. I dont think there is a need for quad core
12. taz89 posted on 18 Feb 2012, 17:48 0 0
even I think quads unnecessary but lol I wouldn't say know to it and also isn't quad core meant to be more energy efficient?
13. thelegend6657 posted on 18 Feb 2012, 18:01 3 1
No it isnt , the tegra 3 is efficient because it has a COMPANION CORE . BTW , most apps wasnt really optimised for quad core so they just used the 2 cores . So isnt it better to just increase the clock speed ? Anyways , samsung has stated that cortex A15 dual core is faster than a cortex A9 quad core .
Read : http://news.softpedia.com/news/Dual-Core-ARM-Cortex-A15-SoC-May-Outperform-Quad-Core-A9-Chips-212574.shtml . However A15 chips wont be coming soon ,
i personally recommend Raising the clock speed of current A9 dual core chip to 2ghz maybe more and add in an companion core of battery life

yep I know that dual core a15 will be faster than a9 quad but honestly I don't really care cause I find the s2 super fast already.I would be more than happy if they just added a companion core for longer lasting battery but I really hope they decide with the a15 chip...that is the LITTLE big arm based chips right?

Actually its called big little . You can always choose to continue to see tech news yet chooses not to upgrade just like me
17. taz89 posted on 18 Feb 2012, 19:13 0 0
Lol always get it the wrong way..I would have but I really want the HD display and hoping for bigger battery...funny thing is the screen on the s2 does not bother me but I know when I see the amoled HD+(fingers cross for the plus) I will want it no matter what if its not plus then I will maybe think about it..s3 will be the only phone I ditch my s2 for cause at the moment no other phone is really making my phone feel "outdated" also I have had the phone for nearly a year and I ALWAYS get a new phone every year.

HD display and bigger battery is a nice welcome . I hope it has xenon flash as it is more powerful

Xenon how could I forget would love that..I would love them to add both xenon and a led light for video and for use as a torch which comes in very handy.
