An impressive feat. So the Galaxy S4 is expected to sell at least 40 million units.

Proud to be one of those 30 million and would be lucky again if I come in those 3 - 40 million for (Note 2) asap :)

The competition consistently makes great phones.
41. PhenomFaz (Posts: 1059; Member since: 26 Sep 2012)
yeah sure they do buddy, they make great phones but just not good enough as the Galaxy S3 :)
70. KFear (Posts: 135; Member since: 06 Feb 2012)
As good as. That's your opinion. Other products are similar and in close comparison. HTC ONEX+ comes to mind. The Iphone 5 is also a great phone as well as a couple windows phones out there. Just because you don't think it's the phone for you doesn't mean it's not a good phone. It's a great market. Apple and Sammy just happen to be stealing it...for now....
78. PhenomFaz (Posts: 1059; Member since: 26 Sep 2012)
sammy is stealing it for a reason in android. check out the galaxy s3!
I love HTC in build quality but the problem is their software optimizations arent great...its the hardware and the software experience that makes a great phone not any one factor alone. HTC has great hardware and good software...whereas sammy has good hardware and a great software experience! the 40+ little features they added in S3 whether you use them or not are good features and its not until you make the switch to another phone that you realize that you miss the small features of the s3 mate!
Hence I was saying my point
83. g2a5b0e (Posts: 1939; Member since: 08 Jun 2012)
I completely agree with this. Been saying it all along.
88. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
i think the point was......neither samsung nor apple would be where they are if they werent........."stealing it" and i do believe that is the correct term for it.....
10. Mxyzptlk (limited) (Posts: 2846; Member since: 21 Apr 2012)
I think there's more to this than just a big number.

Yes sir I am a proud Samsung Galaxy S3 owner love this handset. But the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is on a level of it's own and on November 15th I will be purchasing the Galaxy Note 2 on Tmobile. Nobody is better than Samsung period.
48. g2a5b0e (Posts: 1939; Member since: 08 Jun 2012)
Clearly. But, thanks for the clarification.
36. Insignificant (Posts: 189; Member since: 22 Sep 2012)
Sorry, but I would never get a Samsung. I hate amoled, I prefer to keep things real. The camera over-saturates too. I think they succeeded in the 'inspired by nature' theme though. Well-done Samsung, you made a phone look like a pebble.
On the positive side, they are part of the few who offer both a removable microSD card and battery, which is pretty cool.
In my opinion, I'd rather have the Xperia TX, but I think both are cool.
Saying nobody is better than Samsung is a pure lie though...
38. thelegend6657 (unregistered)
Yeah , i like HTC , Apple and Nokia .
not that Samsung is bad , just the way it do things
49. xoatomxo (Posts: 56; Member since: 26 Apr 2011)
I love my galaxy s3 pebble blue very much !
57. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
nobody's as notorious for making cheap builds and bad displays either.......but you gotta give the people what they want right? :(
61. Oxygen (Posts: 77; Member since: 29 Mar 2012)
at least they build better phone than sony.. :)
71. KFear (Posts: 135; Member since: 06 Feb 2012)
This is true. Sony can't come up with anything that's great AND will sell.
62. SleepingOz (Posts: 2485; Member since: 22 Oct 2011)
My Note II has a pretty solid build and its SuperAMOLED HD is better than any other display out there for multimedia purposes. No wonder it's the best Android atm..
I might be wrong but you sound like a butthurt Samsung hater to me.
63. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
no amoled display is better than LCD bro sorry.....not butt hurt just tellin it like it is......
66. SleepingOz (Posts: 2485; Member since: 22 Oct 2011)
Although it's just a matter of preference, most tech reviewers(PA included) seem to agree that the SuperAMOLED HD of the GNOTE II is a better display for MULTIMEDIA PURPOSES than any other LCD out there. Higher contrast, vivid colours, true black and lower power consumption. LCD's colours may be more natural but AMOLED's colours are just more attractive.
Samsung has sold more GSIII than Sony did with their whole entire XPERIA line. And you seem to be a lil "bitter" about this fact. That's why you never miss an opportunity to bash Samsung. Just saying things as they are.
69. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
message messed up..........but naa dood im not bitter about it, its just you are holding the galaxy series so highly because of sales.......well if you wanted to play that game then the iphone would be the best in that class right? since it sells more than any phone.......my point being sales only tell half the story......And if you are saying amoled is the "best" screen out only because its better in "one" area.......which according to you and phone arena, is multimedia....Then I would say you're a fool......Amoled is better in deeper blacks but is horrible when it comes to whites and more natural colors.........They have blueish tinted screens when viewing "white" colored pages.....and are so dim as if they chose the brightness level for you and you cant change it!............ not cool
O and little word to the wise......just cause my name holds a sony title doesnt mean im all for them, ALL the time........When i mention LCD im talking about HTC dood.....I think Sony uses TFT and IPS if im not mistaken so you were wayy off to think i was trying to justify Sony (even though their screens are way better than amoled as well)
I like samsung but i think they're screens are plain garbage compared to IPS and LCD
80. SleepingOz (Posts: 2485; Member since: 22 Oct 2011)
So according to you, multimedia is only about gaming, right?
Apart from multimedia purposes, what else do you use your phone to? It may be a matter of preference again, but natural colour reproduction is useful only for photography. Otherwise ,more than 30M people seem to agree(excluding other AMOLED based phones owners), AMOLED displays are more beautiful and attractive.
"and are so dim as if they chose the brightness level for you and you cant change it!"
You definitely don't know what you're talking about. My GNOTE II has an excellent brightness can even be compared to actual LCD. And even my old GSII has a very good brightness level to perform well for outdoor visibility. And the blueish tint is almost gone now. If you don't believe me then see by yourself.
Not to forget AMOLED's higher refresh rate, making the phone to appear more fluid and it lower power comsuption.
"they're screens are plain garbage compared to IPS and LCD"
So their screen are garbage, right? You nailed it dude! Samsung also produce SuperLCD which is considered as the best LCD atm. EPIC FAIL dude. You just proved that you're indeed a Samsung hater. I almost forgot you were the one claiming that the S-Pen is useless. LMAO! Have you check the digital painting of the french artist, Geremy Arene?
You should check these videos too. No wonder, it's the best Android outt there. It's not just my opinion but also PA, Android Authotity, Phandroid, TechnoBuffalo, TechCrunch and so on.. If you don't believe me, you can always verify this by yourself. =)
Haters gonna hate, Samsung gonna sell.. more and more! =D
86. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
While i just checked out an "unbiased" review vid showing LCD vs Amoled
i can agree that its a matter of preference I like the whites better on LCD and dont like the blueish tint and dimer screen on amoled when viewing whites and since almost every page on the internet seems to be white I find amoled doing no justice when compared to LCD.......
But these numbers you keep spitting out is really making you look stupid because by your definition, sales mean everything....and in that case the iphone is indeed the best smartphone out.........but many will disagree.....yes if you add up how many people do not like the iphone in the world or rather get an android or windows phone instead, then you will find that even PA, Techno buff, Android authority ARE IN DEED WRONG.....but according to them, since they sold millions of phones......it must be the best when its simply not the case.... They're are many flaws the iphone has as well, one of them being total lack of customization and freedom of OS
89. SleepingOz (Posts: 2485; Member since: 22 Oct 2011)
SuperAMOLED vs SuperLCD, both made by Samsung. You just contradict your previous comments about Samsung displays are garbage. LMAO!
Also the SuperAMOLED panel of the GSIII is quite old now, why don't you check out the one on the GNOTE II before using the "blueish/dim" arguments? Just click on my links above.
Dude, iphones are rated against iphones. That's why the iphone 5 scored 9 here. Droids are rated against Droids. WPs against WPs. And that's also why there's comparison tests. =) Based on all the comparison tests between the GSIII and other Droids, the not-so-young GSIII won. Even against the recent beast, Optimus G. If you don't believe me, again you can verify my claims by yourself. The only match where the GSIII lost is against its big brother, the GNOTE II!
So you're telling me that your POV is better and more accurate than all these professional tech reviewers? OH WOW, then what are you doing here, arguing with me? Aren't you supposed to be writing reviews on these professional sites?
90. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
maybe i should be writing reviews because i would try my best not to be BIASED as most people seem to be........Usually when im wrong its because im un informed about certain things, which is why i came to agree with you on a certain point in my last post..... but i tend to always shy away from filling my post with "emotoins" like some people......hint hint (G2aboe) but thats another story......and this whole thing started not because i dislike samsung, Even i cant deny their success but I also know how someone becomes empowered to be that "top selling company"
Its the same old process, steal lie and cheat to gain your way to the top......the name Apple ring any bells?
So once again i did not start this arguement because i am a "hater" of samsung, like you seem to think........But when people start boasting about they're the best simply because sales! Then I got to say that is simply not true........Sales are a significant sign of success but does not earn you the tittle of "Best" when a bigger portion of the world seems to think different from you and G2abo5e above.....

hey those that exalt themselves will be made humble and those who humnble themselves will be exalted....peace bro
99. SleepingOz (Posts: 2485; Member since: 22 Oct 2011)
Am I wrong or you were the one who tried to suggest that Samsung copied WP on the article where flipboard was featured on the GNOTE II screen? Aren't you the one who claimed that the S-PEN is useless? So you're telling me that ALL those professional tech reviewers who stated that the GSIII/GNOTEII are the best phones atm are biased and it's your POV that matters? You're obviously the biased one, dude.
Seriously grow up!
100. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
ahhh no there was a picture that made me think at first glance the new flipboard thing samsung all of sudden comes out with, look like the tiles on windows phone bro........and the s pen? while obviously "use FUL" to the note 2........it is indeed a gimmick to gain sales for such a device.....and yea most of them are biased sorry just the truth........not all but alot of them are.............and being "grown" is telling the truth not hiding behind emotions so maybe im not the one that needs to "grow up"....

I thought you were a htc guy remember the evo
3. Savage (Posts: 431; Member since: 28 Jul 2012)
My goodness. And Samsung sells more than just one phone. Considering that, its an impressive feat.
Looks like an early Christmas for the Koreans.
8. Droid_X_Doug (Posts: 5289; Member since: 22 Dec 2010)
The GS III is a great phone. No denying that simple fact. Dogs like dog food that tastes great.
The real interesting thing is going to be how well the Note II sells. I hope Sammy beats the 20 m goal that has been set for the Note II.
17. crankyd00d (Posts: 191; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
No way they sell that many, not in a reasonable amount of time anyway, the Note is the very definition of a niche product
26. g2a5b0e (Posts: 1939; Member since: 08 Jun 2012)
No way they sell that many? The original Note has sold over 10 million in less than a year & it wasn't even close to widely available as the Note II will be. The more likely statement is, "how can they NOT sell that many." People keep calling it a "niche" product, but how many phones other than the iPhone & the Galaxy S series can you name that sell over 10 million in a year? ***crickets*** Yeah...that's what I thought. Niche, my ass.
65. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
Just cause they're selling millions of phones doesnt mean its not a niche phone dood.......the numbers just show you how many "niche" people there are in the world! and like or not, but what's 10 million to the total population of the world?? that number seems really small to the billions of people that have "actual" smart phones and not this phablet of a device....
72. g2a5b0e (Posts: 1939; Member since: 08 Jun 2012)
What you just said makes absolutely no sense. I think you might need to look up the definition of niche. We're not comparing Note numbers to the population of the world. We're comparing it to the sales of other phones. If the Note series is truly as niche as people say it is, then I'm not sure what word I could use to describe the miniscule sales of Sony & HTC's phones as of late. Maybe I should just coin a term. Ultraniche sounds about right.
73. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
what i was trying to say was that 10 million people that are buying this phone is a really small number compared how many people DID NOT BUY THIS PHONE!! and what those numbers you are so "entrusted" into fails to reveal to you is that, you can almost guarentee, those same people that bought a galaxy S3.........bought a note 2 lol........those 10 million people are apart of samsungs fan base its nothing compared to how many people, once again, Do not buy it.........If sales where everything then we can most definitely conclude that the iphone is indeed the best phone in the world, when we have people that would argue you down that thats not the case.......
So while you are constantly braggin that sammy is the best because of sales and htc and sony are not because they're not selling as well, i think you should know that a portion of the world is not the entire world.............in other words.......speak for your self dude
77. g2a5b0e (Posts: 1939; Member since: 08 Jun 2012)
As much as I would LOVE to argue with you again, it's pointless to argue with someone who makes absolutely no sense. Speak for myself...about what? Please don't answer that. I really don't care.
81. SleepingOz (Posts: 2485; Member since: 22 Oct 2011)
You're right dude! Just ignore his BS.. He's simply butthurt about the fact that Samsung is doing extremely well and its phones are killing the competition(Sony in front line).
87. XPERIA-KNIGHT (Posts: 2384; Member since: 08 Aug 2012)
it makes alot of sense you're just to pridefull to admit it......a portion of the world is not the entire world remember that......thats why "some" people with enough money to buy an iphone, a GS3, and A One X still choose to buy a Sony.......Sorry man you wanted the truth and there it is.......

3 million in 37 days. That's without Verizon or AT&T yet. Did you even bother to do any research before saying something so silly?
50. archangel9 (Posts: 230; Member since: 07 Feb 2010)
That's w/o Tmobile..ATT get theirs on the 9th VZW on the 25..Either way the Note II is badass.Sammy is in beastmode
35. ddeath (Posts: 153; Member since: 14 Apr 2012)
@crankyd00d, Niche product? Are you stupid? If 10 million sold is a niche product, then almost everything is.
59. infinitemethod (Posts: 122; Member since: 04 Sep 2012)
They've already sold 3 million and it still hasn't been released on t mobile, at&t and Verizon. It'll be over 10 million by the end of the year. Solis post though, you seem to know your tech........

it is a great phone most people at work either have the iphone or a SGSIII
