A lot of people will be royally p*ssed off. Because that was the exact reason (only 512Mb of RAM) that Samsung used as an excuse NOT to update the rest of the SGS family to ICS.

No. What matters is not the amount of RAM - but the amount of ROM on a phone. Both the GS1 and the Nexus S have 512MB of Ram. But the GS1 isn't officially upgraded to ICS - while the Nexus S is.

I think you have misunderstood something. Even he low-end SGS has an 8Gb internal memory. It is NOT the case of ROM amount, there's PLENTY of that to play with. (Well, it is not really the amount of RAM either really, that is just the lame excuse Samsung gave.)
