Samsung Galaxy S 4 vs HTC One vs Sony Xperia Z specs comparison

0. phoneArena 14 Mar 2013, 19:58 posted on

Each of these has some unique hardware features - the Galaxy S 4 comes with a one-of-a-kind 1080p AMOLED display and a bucketload of sensors, including for temperature, the HTC One sports an amplified dual-speaker system at the front, and the Z you can dunk in your bathtub, so which do you think will be winning hearts and minds by the time the holiday warriors appear?

We wont enjoy the full specs of this device until gs5 then we get octa core and they can sell us all we want how the quad core is more efficient and fast enough until you watch videos of how blazing fast the octa is. Damn you samsung for the tease lmao

HTC most definitely has the best design and materials hands down as well as build quality and craftsmanship that went into this device. They each have some great features with waterproof and dustproof feature in the Sony Z as well as a super nice lense in its camera. Storage and battery life obviously have to go to Samsung with 2600mah and up to a.total of 128gb of storage with the sd card slot availability. It seems that they all have their own cool features and all something a little different. I think the HTC One is by far the clear winner but Sony Z not far behind in style and feature wise. The Samsung is just a boosted up version of last year's GS3 and definitely a good work horse if you don't care much about sleek design and latest materials being used in its development.

8-core? Like people will notice the difference between quad core and 8-core in a phone.
Just stick to quad, please.

It's not the difference in processing power, it's the difference in power saving, better don't say anything when you don't understand and don't know what's the tech about

You're just all crazy!! Sammy is the best again. SAME-sung what do you mean about this? The S4's look is pretty close to S3's which actually was and still is nice. The choice of materials is just great polycarbonate which is more durable than the aluminium. It may looks "premium" whatever it means.. but I don't want after few months of use my phone to look like a piece of sh*t.. In addition that the bezel is thinner, the phone is smaller, the display is bigger, it's only 7.9mm tick, the metal finish looks way better than the S3's, the panel's pattern looks really nice. The phone looks great!! I really don't know what do you want or expect it to be, a spaceship or what?. And I don't know about the S4, but the S3 was the most pleasent phone to touch, and the feel to be in my palm was really nice.
Just no words about the software it looks amazing. And what about the hardware... it's just the best for now. It has a bunch of sensors and what are your complains about that thermometer, humidity.. So what ? What do you think a smartphone means? Just a stupid Iphone or what? It has to have all kinds of sensors to communicate with the surrounding world THAT is a smartphone. Just there is no need to mention the Exynos octa which will be the best SoC together with the Tegra 4. The display is just awesome, it's with new matrix, which looks great, The camera is just awesome not like the HTC One's "Ultra Pixel" yes it really has to be in quotes. I know that the megapixels doesn't matter but 4 MP is just ridiculous.

Why do HTC One has 4 megapixels camera :O ? Like, these days all phones come with atleast 5Megapixels. WHY 4!! S4 design sucks :( . According to me, HTC wins if we talk about design.

It may be "just" 4MPs but the pixels are more than twice as big as the Galaxy S3 or iPhone 5 and more than three times as big as the Xperia Z's. Add to that OIS and a F 2.0 aperture (2.6 for the Galaxy S3, 2.4 for the iPhone 5/Xperia Z) it can capture 3 times more light than most of the olther phones, if you shoot tons of photos at night, nothing beats the One.
And when it comes to video, OIS helps to reduce shaking, and the HDR Sound makes sound crystal clear (PA's comparison showed that it's better than the Lumia 920's rich recording)
Even technobuffalo made a cmparison and proved that the HTC One took better pictures than the S4, more MPs don't necessairly mean better pictures
