Samsung Galaxy NotePRO launching in the US on February 13?

While the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO will be released in the UK starting February 4, customers in the US have to wait a bit more until they can snag the new tablet. According to Office Depot, which is taking pre-orders for the NotePRO as of today, the 12.2-inch Samsung slate should start shipping Stateside on February 13 - just in time for Valentine’s Day.

As we told you before, the Galaxy NotePRO is anything but cheap. Office Depot is asking $850 for the 64GB Wi-Fi-only version of it. We’re not seeing the Galaxy NotePRO available to pre-order at any other US retailer for now, so we can’t compare prices yet.

Announced in January alongside the Galaxy TabPRO series, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is one of the most advanced tablets we’ve seen. Its 12.2-inch Super Clear LCD display has a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, so using it should be a pleasure. Other features include an Exynos 5 Octa 5420 processor (which has four 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores), 3GB of RAM, S Pen stylus, and an 8MP rear camera with flash.

Later this year, an LTE-capable version of the Galaxy NotePRO could be released in the US by Verizon. Other American carriers might also want to offer the NotePRO, but nothing is confirmed at this point.
