The new 12.2-inch Samsung Galaxy NotePRO can be pre-ordered at Office Depot starting today. Its price is $850 (64GB Wi-Fi-only model). No other US retailer is taking pre-orders for the NotePRO at the moment...

Umm....i would think most would just buy the note 10.1 2014 edition at $500 for 16 gigs or $600 for 32. Why would I pay $850 for magazine UI and an extra 2 inch? Samsung, GTFOH with that mess!!!

I love how managed to trivialize the importance of 2.1 inches along with what appears to be a much much improved UX & functionality. I will admit that 2.1" isn't as big a difference between a 10.1 - 12.2” device as it would be between a 4' - 6' device, however for someone truly looking for a viable alternative to a Windows based notebook or tablet, that additional screen real estate, the magazine UX features designed to take advantage of said space & two times the built in storage make a pretty convincing argument.
I do think this should be priced at a $749.99 price point, at most, but if the UX improvements truly do make this into a productivity, multimedia beast as I'm sure it'll be advertised as, I may be able to swallow the bullet & pay $850 or so. I know it's not likely due to the price, but it would be amazing if some talented developers got behind this amazing piece of hardware.. It'd be in a place of its own.
