Apple had the same design with two models of their phones, but now that Samsung's doing the same thing it's suddenly OK !!???!?

Awesome. Now that's innovation.

I have to agree. No one has created a stylus with such functionality and tie-in to the software. Whether Apple fanboys like it or not, that is innovation.

steve jobs once said stylus is the worst innovation as god gave us 10 fingers, but sammy prove that he was wrong

I guess the plastic tips lasted too long so they made it rubber now so it wears out and drags across my screen leaving smudges and pieces of rubber behind like a pencil eraser??? With the ICS Update I already have Hover. Hopefully pulling out the pen can be configured...sometimes I just want to pull out the pen in my browser and not have an app open, or perhaps I just want to pull it out to key in a number more accuratly while on the phone. Pulling it out and having the phone turn on like my HTC Fuze did would be cool too.
I'm not sure what they mean about sensitivity...is that DPI or Pressure because pressure wise There are less than five levels...more like 3. And if DPI the pen is accurate enough in the center...it is the edges that have issues. There is a "Secret" Test/Debug menu you can really see this in too.
Bigger is nice and a more easily used button would be good. I often wish it worked like a pencil too where I write and when I want to erase I flip it and use the other end.

The only things that surprise me is the jellybean :)
Design : looks like a polished note1 if you ask me
Processor : Meh... I don't think jellybean needs that...
Resolution : don't know yet but 1280 x 720 will be the hint , but I'm glad It's not pentile screen...
Conclusion : not worth to be upgraded, really!! If you take a look at pic 7, you can actually confused that it is a last year note, but it just me...
However, if you are new, you definitely choose this because it is far better than galaxy s3 (which still struggling the jellybean update)

In first place the Galaxy S3 already runs Jelly Bean 4.1,1 LPH7
My Galaxy S3 is running it right now. Regarding the Note 2 yes, it worth upgrading because it have better specs thatn the Note I
I'm the owner of a S2, S2 HD LTE (Korean Version), Galaxy Note & Galaxy 3 & yes I'm gonna purchase the Note II.
My suggestion to you is to continue using your HTC One X that is a good handset, but fail behind the mighty S3.

Could it be you just dont like bigger and better things. Its totaly an upgrade to the 1st note and its not an upgrade to the GalaxyS3. Maybe you dont like phones too big for your small hands ;-)

the screen and the battery is what might tip the scale for me but other than that i am not hugely impressed, impatiently waiting for the Nexus.

wish many of these features where included into other non note devices and we could buy this pen in a store.... or maybe its just me...

I was saving for a galaxy S3 but if this comes to verizon I might go for it. I thought the S pen was kinda gimmicky before but on the note 2 it actually seems like something i'd use.

Suddenly pen inputs don't seem so bad anymore. Awesome features, the hover idea is outstanding way to get information.

I don't even like samsung that much but suddenly all other phones in the world really started to look very crappy...
Airview and 1024 pressure levels? Give me 2 in each color! Why isn't this in every smartphone already?

I was one of the first adapters of the galaxy note 1. had this phablet since January 2012. I was the first to write Samsung back then that I loved this note and wish the battery was 3000 mAh or more and a larger screen but no more than 5.5 inch would be perfect but keep in mind to reduce the weight or at least keep the same weight and less bazel. I pledged Samsung to buy it if they do that. Now they did but what really disappoint me was changing aspect ratio from 16:10 to 16:9. it's not a bad thing for some users but for me I was expecting the new note 2 will just be larger in width and length but this new note was only larger in legnth and less in width to look like stretched GS3. still it is not a bad thing for some users but for me I pass and will keep my old note. Otherwise this phone is great and loaded with new features and If I didn't own the note 1 then I will definitely buy a note but again it will be hard to choose from note 1 or 2 due to screen ratio that the new note 2 I didn't like. But that is my opinion. for now will keep my old note 1. I might add to my inventory wp8 either Samsung but I will wait to see what Nokia has to offer and no I never and will never buy apple iphone. Apple products is not on my shopping list.

I love how you say "and no I never and will never buy apple iphone. Apple products is not on my shopping list." +1. You are a very smart buyer for electronics :))
