Wow.. I'm not really a fan of Samsung product but I do like this ugly thing.. It's ugly, but the features and size can't be found in other tablets.. Now with that price, I really am considering to buy it once available in my country! :D

I'm having Note 2. The price is not bad, but it would be sold as hot cakes if the announcing time was around last year October to December.
I'm waiting for the next generation will full-HD screen and last-gen SoC.

Yeap, my prediction that the Galaxy Note 8 would priced at $399 was right on the money, but at that price, I would go with the Nexus 10 instead.

Could've been a killer if it was priced at around $349.....400 bucks is just too steep considering how outdated the MP Mali is.....crazy intro price...seriously

$400 may seem expensive, but I thinkt his device is meant to compete with the Ipad min 2. Considering Apple's pricing trends, the Ipad Mini 2 will most like be around the same price as the Galaxy Note 8. So it will still be able to compete.

the price should be lower to compete with the iPad mini and the Nexus 7. I thought about getting the Note 8.0, but the price is too high for an 8in tablet. i thought the Note 8.0 would be at most $350. sounds cheap, but it would be more sellable than the $400 WiFi version. i know that the LTE versions will be more expensive

Everyone is making a valid point that the Note 8 should be cheaper and I agree. But should it be cheaper than the Ipad mini considering the added features that the S-Pen provides? I dont think so. The price you suggest is the most reasonable, but I'll take it for $399 over $520 any day. They may end up lowering the price anyway. Samsung is to the UK as Apple is to the U.S. They wont be able to compete with Apple in this country with a price like that.

yeah, but if the Note 8.0 should be lower to compete not just with the iPad Mini, but with the Nexus 7. I like the concept of the Note 8.0, but the economy has forced us to be more mindful of the money we spend on devices. I know that the Note 8.0 should not be as low as $199 like the 16GB Nexus 7, but if samsung want to dethrone Apple as the #1 seller in tablets, then they have to take a shot.

True. Now that I think of it, the Ipad Mini is already overpriced. So what would that make the note 8? But I'm waiting for the price to go down. $400 still does not seem that expensive to me, but it's not worth spending that much for an 8 inch tablet when I can get the 10.1 inch version for a cheaper price...

I can see that. I'll wait until I can see it in person at Best Buy and see if its worth $400. Im still going to wait a year to upgrade to the Note III or even the Note II because it should be cheaper by the time im eligible
