Samsung Galaxy Note 8 allegedly appears in renders

There are some leaks out there that you just hope aren't the real deal, despite knowing that they probably are. This is the case with the latest one by the pretty trustworthy leaker @OnLeaks, who partnered with 91mobiles, that allegedly shows the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in all its glory.

The materials consist of video and images of a device, which is supposed to be the Note 8. It carries the same style as @OnLeak's previous 3D renders, based on factory CADs, so this might be the case here as well.

What baffles us is that the design is uninspiring at best. Not only does the device look extremely thick, but the shape of the Galaxy S8 is all but gone. What we have instead is nearly perfectly rectangular shape, which looks quite crude in our opinion.

The worst part about the pictured design is on the back, though. The rumored dual-camera setup is present, but the fingerprint scanner continues to be right next to it, alongside the LED flash. With a rumored display size of 6.3 inches, we can't help but to wonder how that fingerprint scanner will work ergonomically. Users have already been complaining about its position on the Galaxy S8+, which comes with a 6.2-inch screen.

To top it all up, the camera and fingerprint scanner protrude quite a lot from the back, resulting in a not-so-stylish rectangular bump on the back of the device.

That being said, however, Samsung used to experiment with different prototypes for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, so we can only hope that these renders are based on an early prototype, and not on a finished design.
