Let them make the wrong decision, they'll be running back soon as they realize the amount of compromise Sony make in their phones, from updates to features, not to mention how big and heavy that Ultra will be yet still doesn't even have a stylus or LED flash. I love how many have overlooked the Ultras 3000mAh battery, that us a little batt for a 6.4inch 1080P display and 2.2GHz CPU, we are going to see many angry owners come September.

That's cute and all, but I'd rather have a stylus that's made for the phone, and is always there when I need it ;) many will find that they are not always close to a pencil or pen, Sony shouldn't have been lazy with this one, they should've put a stylus and also allowed a pen or pencil to be used.

Lol by using Xperia zu, your finger IS your stylus... With free Bluetooth earpiece... Can galaxy did that?
killer spec you say? Snapdragon 800? Xperia zu had that,
Stability? Durability? Waterproof? Samsung has nothing...

Its common knowledgy that sony doesn't use its best parts for its phone because because it doesn't have the budget to produce them.

The ZU will be good but it won't be better than the note. + The not wil be on its 3rs generation of improvements. The ZU is gonna be a 'test the water' for sony

Sony's unreliability with software upgrades makes anything they bring to the table a fail until they prove otherwise. Specs don't mean deadly squat if the software isn't being upgraded to keep up with the latest and greatest OS changes.

Oh.. i never think that there will be a lot of people who will choose a very large 6.44 inch display surrounded by thick bezels with 3000mah batt only and not removable! With poor camera and features for better use of pencils or the likes..
Im starting hate Sony for not meeting my expectations and wants-- because of this ultra and the leaks regarding the looks of honami with ugly bezels

Lets be logical here, why would they change the design now when their whole 2013 line are using the same design? The 1st Note followed the S2 design, and the Note2 followed the S3 design, why would the Note3 not follow the S4 design? A phone that has sold well over 20million units in 2months, they are DEFINITELY using its design.

I guess if Apple can get away with "inbetween S" releases so can every other OEM. Gentlemen: meet the Galaxy Note 2S!!

I'll stick with my Galaxy Note 2 (now that I have 2 anyways, thanks to when I lost my phone and had to file an insurance claim) and wait for the Galaxy Note 4!! Unless, of course, there is something drastically bigger by some other OEM; and, by bigger, I mean a good solid 6½-6¾ inches!! Heck, I'll even take a massive 7 inches.

The note was never meant to be a different phone, remember the Note is aimed at a niche market, it is the Galaxy S which is the mainstream flagship phone. Design 3.0 is a complete overhaul of phone design and UI in the form of the Galaxy S5. Carbon Fibre materials as used with sports car interiors and frames mean a much lighter sturdier phone, plus the S5 design will most likely see no bezel or home screen.

Design 2.0 looks ok imo. Ergonomic wise, it's one of the best. Moreover, it's only 1year old, compared to the recycled fat brick design from nokia, since the N9 and the flat rectangle with uncomfortable sharp edges from Sony, since the Xperia S.
But yes, everyone is waiting for Design 3.0 with some carbon fiber love!

It matters...
Even if it's removable, no one wants to swap the battery unless completely necessary.
You'll be bummed to see a mere 2000mAh battery in it with a promise that it's removable.

Samsung will never skimp on the battery, they are not Sony, so we should see a 3500mAh or even bigger battery. Remember the Note2 had a 3100mAh battery, so Note3 will definitely have a bigger one.

I really can't believe how people care SO MUCH about the design that they skip the best device, you will see that you've made a huge mistake going for the Z ulta,
Note III will s**t all over it, design is not that bad, it's the same, yes, but the Sony smartphones also look the same, so what? that's just a stupid fanboy thing to bash Samsung,.. anyways see you crying when Note III comes out

Dedicated camera key?
Hallelujah!

That closes up the specs sheet as perfect.
Could be my phone for next 3 years.

Xperia Z ultra?
Just wait to see how ridiculously huge and heavy that thing is in your hands, compared to this.
And how amazing battery life Note 3 will have, with a 3500mah unit.
And those complaining about the design.. yeah, it's the same.. as opposed to what?
Exactly the same new Sony or Nokia designs?

but people dont care on how big and heavy bcoz of its stunning elegant design, this is why S4 got a so-so sales bcoz of its boring stone ages design.
it may not be all about design but even this note 3 doesnt have the durability that Z ultra has.

I take it you couldn't find an answer to my question and so chose to respond in the manner that you did. The 100million will be reached, very easily, Samsung phones sell very well unlike Sony's. :)

much like the S3, the S4 will continue steady sales, not at the 10 million per month pace, but it will continue steadily making money for samsung. back to school sales, holiday sailes, and the predictable price drops will sustain the S4 credibility for quite a while. what, were they supposed to sell 10 million a month as long as it's on the market? so-so sales my eye!

Designs? Really? What you said is nothing more than a typical HTC fanboy response.

Many owners of the s3 don't have any desire to upgrade to the s4 because (1) they are probably under contract and (2) the s3 is still a solid to own to this day, which is selling well at a low price. I own the Note 2 and don't have any desire to upgrade to the Note 3 because the Note 2 is a solid phone and I don't see enough improvements over the Note 2 to make me want a Note 3.

I'll tell you what, the z ultra has just released in hong kong, and the 1st hands on was amazing, i mean, 212g for such a thin and big dimension device, it is definitely not heavy.
with stamina mode off, it managed to stay on for like 13 hours and 25% battery left, which is quite impressive given that the battery capacity is just 3000 mAh
and the 8mp shooter didnt disappoint too.

Lol, you're so deluded and desperate its become quite funny. Is reality a tad bit too much for you? If S4 is losing customers then how is it managing 10million units per month? Please explain? And once again could you name me an Android that has sold better? If so, then you'll have a valid point if not, you are once again spewing utter rubbish.

The features of the S4 are not gimmicks I assure you, a LOT of people I see in bars, the work place and the general public use these so called gimmicks more than the actual camera itself. I either see the S3/S4, IPhones 4/4s and 5 and little of anything else from the Android camp. Plus Nokia are becoming more and more popular, i've seen more Lumia's than Sony/HTC here in the UK. Not seen a single LG/Motorola.

I don't believe it's the Note III. The flash in place under the camera sensor in all of this year's flagships, the Note III will have USB3.0 support as well as WiFi b/g/n/ac. There's a lack of clock of the Octa-core, and the bezels are too thin to be believable. In other words, it looks like someone just gathered whatever to expect from the device and updated say the Note II schematics a bit.

Xenon flash, Camera key, probably a battery larger than 3100mAh, Exynos 5 Octa at 1.9GHz and a S800 variant...this is going to destroy the oversized and overweight Z Ultra if all these specs are true.
If the design is same as the GS4 then it will also be VERY friendly in terms of ergonomics unlike the Z Ultra. :)
