Let them make the wrong decision, they'll be running back soon as they realize the amount of compromise Sony make in their phones, from updates to features, not to mention how big and heavy that Ultra will be yet still doesn't even have a stylus or LED flash. I love how many have overlooked the Ultras 3000mAh battery, that us a little batt for a 6.4inch 1080P display and 2.2GHz CPU, we are going to see many angry owners come September.

That's cute and all, but I'd rather have a stylus that's made for the phone, and is always there when I need it ;) many will find that they are not always close to a pencil or pen, Sony shouldn't have been lazy with this one, they should've put a stylus and also allowed a pen or pencil to be used.

Lol by using Xperia zu, your finger IS your stylus... With free Bluetooth earpiece... Can galaxy did that?
killer spec you say? Snapdragon 800? Xperia zu had that,
Stability? Durability? Waterproof? Samsung has nothing...

Its common knowledgy that sony doesn't use its best parts for its phone because because it doesn't have the budget to produce them.

The ZU will be good but it won't be better than the note. + The not wil be on its 3rs generation of improvements. The ZU is gonna be a 'test the water' for sony

Sony's unreliability with software upgrades makes anything they bring to the table a fail until they prove otherwise. Specs don't mean deadly squat if the software isn't being upgraded to keep up with the latest and greatest OS changes.

Oh.. i never think that there will be a lot of people who will choose a very large 6.44 inch display surrounded by thick bezels with 3000mah batt only and not removable! With poor camera and features for better use of pencils or the likes..
Im starting hate Sony for not meeting my expectations and wants-- because of this ultra and the leaks regarding the looks of honami with ugly bezels

Well, they were said to be discussing Design 3.0, and we were hoping it would be introduced on the Note 3, but apparently not.

If it's meant for next year, what's the different when compare to Apple? Mind as well add an 's' in the name lol

Lets be logical here, why would they change the design now when their whole 2013 line are using the same design? The 1st Note followed the S2 design, and the Note2 followed the S3 design, why would the Note3 not follow the S4 design? A phone that has sold well over 20million units in 2months, they are DEFINITELY using its design.

I guess if Apple can get away with "inbetween S" releases so can every other OEM. Gentlemen: meet the Galaxy Note 2S!!

I'll stick with my Galaxy Note 2 (now that I have 2 anyways, thanks to when I lost my phone and had to file an insurance claim) and wait for the Galaxy Note 4!! Unless, of course, there is something drastically bigger by some other OEM; and, by bigger, I mean a good solid 6½-6¾ inches!! Heck, I'll even take a massive 7 inches.

Yeah, because a better processor, with a better screen, camera, BIGGER screen, new dedicated camera button, more ram, new Xenon flash....
Its like it is the same phone! Lol

The note was never meant to be a different phone, remember the Note is aimed at a niche market, it is the Galaxy S which is the mainstream flagship phone. Design 3.0 is a complete overhaul of phone design and UI in the form of the Galaxy S5. Carbon Fibre materials as used with sports car interiors and frames mean a much lighter sturdier phone, plus the S5 design will most likely see no bezel or home screen.

Design 2.0 looks ok imo. Ergonomic wise, it's one of the best. Moreover, it's only 1year old, compared to the recycled fat brick design from nokia, since the N9 and the flat rectangle with uncomfortable sharp edges from Sony, since the Xperia S.
But yes, everyone is waiting for Design 3.0 with some carbon fiber love!
