This totally diminishes perhaps even defeats the benefits of having a standard charging connector as mandated by the EU and implemented in the form of microUSB!
I like having a durable alternative to that microUSB because my Samsung phone's microUSB connector actually failed forcing me to use an external charger. This Samsung phone is a refurbished replacement for my original Samsung Galaxy phone. I've had all kinds of problems with durability, battery life and memory/crashes.
I'd rather have wireless inductive charging if there's to be a replacement for microUSB.
Otherwise, just make sure it's compatible with phones from all manufacturers!!!!!
(As always, I want my phone to have a physical QWERTY keyboard and microSDXC card slot and 3500mAh battery)
(Dream phone also has 2-4 GB RAM, 64GB onboard NAND memory, 1280x800 AMOLED, 1920x1200 pico projector)
