Sprint may launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus as soon as next month, and if you participate in the carrier's Data Storm sweepstakes, you may grab one for free...

I may get this, However this phone is already out dated and should have been offered months ago. The real benefit of this phone is the all Google experience , and ASOP development., which I am down for. I hoe all antenna signals are strong.

It is out dated but will be the best phone by far that Sprint has to offer, so that tells you all about their phone selection or lack there of. I feel bad for us at Sprint, sporadic 4G at best, no LTE and will be a slow rollout I promise, bad phone selection that hasn't seen a new release of sny kind since Sept (Epic Touch). Not good for me to re-up. I hope they don't play the same game VZW did with the Galaxy Nexus release, that would just be plain stupid and I will surely leave, give us a solid release date soon and stick to it!

Not true, we have the iPhone! lol I think they have to slowly introduce new phones hoping to boost iPhone sales. What they don't realize is that most of us will not buy a iPhone. Don't get me wrong iPhone is great for some, and as the father of all of the new found performance that PCS hand sets have today was inspired by iPhone, it won't ever end up on my short list of devices. LTE delays is another issue all of its own

Just because you don't like any of the phones on Sprint doesn't mean that they have bad phones. I have the Evo Shift and am fairly content with it, though I would like a screen more like the one on the Epic. In my opinion the Evo, Evo Shift, Evo 3D, Evo Design, Epic, Epic Touch, iPhone 4, and the iPhone 4s are all great phones; and I even have to include the Optimus S as a decent phone.

The whole Evo line, excluding the mid-range Design, is over a year and the Evo 4G is two years old! I don't want a mid-range phone. The Epic, which I have is 18 months old as well, so that leaves the Epic Touch and Iphone 4S are the most recent phones worth a look at. I will clarify my statement, Sprint has a bad selection or no selection of high end phones.

Dude, what are you talking about? Show me a phone on another carrier that is THAT MUCH BETTER than the EVO 3D, PHOTON 4G and GALAXY SII Epic 4G Touch. They have the holy iPhone. They have the lastest Blackberries and are getting a new Nokia WP. Thats not counting the midrange EVO Shift 4G and EVO Design 4G, Motorola Admiral, Nexus S 4G and Samsung Conquer 4G which your'e average consumer is happy with, here of course, we like top of the line ; ). They are pretty competitive. Just because they haven't come out with ANOTHER new phone within the last 2 weeks doesnt mean their phones are bad. I will admit, the only thing they are missing is a 720p screen and NFC, 12+ NFC phones are coming by years end. They will soon be getting the Nexus which is less powerful that the GSII E4GT.
BTW, I picked up a Nexus and went back to my GSII Epic 4G Touch, faster phone and the screen is just as amazing, the only thing is lack of NFC, thats about it. If you want ICS you can load a custom ROM, if your'e not into rooting, you can get the GO launcher from the market and make your phone look very close to ICS.
Some people are just too hard to please...

I'm just wondering how much this phone will cost off contract. I might consider getting it if it isn't over $600 and I can manage to get that much saved up. Otherwise I'll just wait and see what comes out by the end of this year and/or beginning of next year.

I'd rather not. Too many terms and conditions to agree upon. I like the giveaways here at PhoneArena a lot better.
