how can u say apple when they have a patent that presides over "unlocking a device by performing gestures on an unlock image"? u expect anyone to sit around with such a patent? i think samsung, htc, moto, anyone wud use that too its full extent… in my opinion this is more the patent offices fault for loading apple with these patents…

Because Android is supposed to be an Open source project, which I think means you can take elements of it and put it somewhere else, like Bada OS has adapted the pull down notification system too. But I really feel they should limit who gets to use it, not let your competitors steal it...This also why Google hasn't sued Apple over anything yet, it's mostly done by Android OEMs.

Anyway, I'm not too worried thou, iOS's notifications still sucks, you still can't tell when you get an email because it isn't shown on the status bar, and the notification pull down is usually clustered with useless crap like stock and advertistments from apps and foursquare crap...
