Samsung GALAXY Nexus could launch November 21st on Verizon, according to roadmap

A leaked Verizon list of "Upcoming Product Launches" gives us great insight into what Verizon is thinking (note we said "what" not "how") and while it confirms that 11/11 Motorola DROID RAZR launch, it also tells us to expect the first Android 4.0 phone, the Samsung GALAXY Nexus, to launch on November 21st...

Wish it was coming out on the 17th, but the 21st isn't that bad.

"...but the 21st isn't that bad"
Considering some rumors were having the Nexus being released even after Black Friday, if it is in fact released on the 21st, that will be good for VZW, IMO. With the RAZR, GALAXY Nexus and Rezound, VZW is going to have an awesome high-end Android offering going into the XMAS shopping season. A lot of business is done on Black Friday. They would have been stupid to not have all of the high-end Android handsets available for sale by then.

This is great news. I needed a new phone so I pre-ordered a Razr but I would like the opportunity to test drive the Nexus as well.

I want the HTC Rezound so bad, why do all U.S carriers get all the awesome phones? Only if Verizon existed in my country.

I think it should be "Why does Verizon get all the awesome phones"

"Why does Verizon get all the awesome phones"
While I understand that it seems that way now, what with the RAZR, the G-Nex, and the Rezound coming soon, I must say that I respectfully disagree with the idea that Verizon gets all the awesome phones.
When I first got Verizon all I could see in the store was a bunch of phones that were functional, but from a design stand point, looked like garbage. The situation didn't improve with my next four upgrades either, until I got my first smartphone (a blackberry curve).
Verizon customers have had to wait nearly a year after Sprint customers to get a 4G phone, and when it did we were teased with three that were all found wanting in many ways.
Every blackberry device Verizon received has been either mediocre or non-exclusive.
Android phones were a game changer I'll admit, but many people bought them hoping that they would fill the iphone shaped whole in their lives. Several of these customers would be upset with this decision.
These Verizon customers would have to wait almost a full four years in order to get their iphone.
This is the first time I can remember in my relationship with VZW, solely based on the phone options availabe, that I am glad to be with Big Red compared to any of the other big networks in the USA.
So if anyone feels envious that you don't have the option to buy the phone that you want the most, all I have to say is...wait. Your day is coming....or switch networks.

Who knows what the other carriers in the US will get. My guess is that nobody cares.

Why does this post fall under the category "Sprint"?

I cant decide which phone to get! I have read a lot of specs and the HTC looks to be the faster phone. Is this true? And if so how much faster are we talking? I like the bigger screen but if its another flop like my bionic than I dont know which way to go. I know the HTC will get the ICS eventually so any thoughts?

Verizon is the best thats why they are getting the best phones , 4g lte, best services over all, best HTC ,LG,Samsung, and etc phone, some of you complain about prices, because you are broke and still staying with your moma and papa, if you were rich, you would only buy Verizon, be real

Yeah, but this is a relatively new phenomenon for VZW. From 08-09 its users suffered boring BB and WinMo 6 devices while AT&T basked in the iPhone's glow and T-Mobile got the first Android goods. And monthly plans were just as expensive then. Now VZW gets gems like the Nexus, Rezound and Razr and everyone else looks on in envy.

Samsung's last chance to keep me as a customer hinges on the Galaxy Nexus being available before Black Friday ( and I don't mean just available for preorder). As my local Verizon store had the Razr available for a hands on demos as of Sunday (Nov 6), I will not wait much longer for Samsung to release the GN. The Razr is unbelievably light in feel yet doesn't feel cheaply made. The screen clarity was fantastic and speed was out of this world. I loaded several You Tube videos and there was absolutely no lag from buffering. The store version had a partial version of Madden 2012 loaded and the graphics were crystal clear and a blast to play with. I am willing to give Samsung until November 14th to provide a firm date that Verizon will release the GN (and if the release date isn't before Black Friday I am done with Samsung for good). I am only giving them that long as I want to play with the Rezound before I decide whether the Razr will win out. I implore everyone to post comments on Facebook and Twitter and let Samsung know you are fed up with their never ending product release stall tactics.

Is Verizon getting away from releasing phones on Thursdays? I believe most previous models where released then.

What does "w/o" mean in the context of this memo? I always use "w/o" as a shortcut to "without" but that wouldn't make sense in this context...

w/o in my book means web only I wouldn't be surprised if you can only buy this galaxy nexus from google/samsung/verizon on line that would be neat.
