this whole thing is funny. $149.99 after the rebate...so $149.99. How can someone compare a touch device from one OEM to another? They will be completly different. Plus the samsung will have a completly different interface than anyone on here as ever used before. We all are different, thank God, so be thankful for Apple for bringing us the iPhone and every other OEM that will follow with new cool devices.

biggest grip I have with us cellular--10 digit dialing, only 1 area code here, 30 calls a day and have to dial the area code on every one of them, stupid--only carrier here that does that

Requires a smartphone plan?!?!? This device isn't even a smartphone!!!! Bad pricing too. Who wants to pay $350 up front just to get a "dumbphone" with only a megapixel camera and low screen resolution (400x240) The worst part is how it requires the smartphone plan because the HTC touch Diamond for Alltel is being released within the next couple of weeks and it will also require the smartphone plan AND be the same price!!! The Diamond has a 640x480 resolution scren and actually IS a smartphone with the amazing opera browser so the required plan can be justified. Samsung+Alltel need to learn to price their cell phones more reasonable. I was actually looking forward to this phone because i wanted a cool touchscreen and i have no need for a data plan because i don't go on the internet much. Oh well. Verizon has the smartphone plans where you only pay for as much internet you have used so i guess ill wait until they get the omnia or touch pro.
