what i dont understand is why the samsung fascinate is said to be getting an android 2.2 update and the continuum to have 2.1.. this really seems odd. wouldnt you think that the older phone would just stay with the old system and the new phone would get the new system.. things are not adding up here for me.

It's not as simple as, 2.2 is done now every single phone will get it. Not to mention these phones are made to have software upgrades. Do you want your new phone of 2 months to be out of date when a similar model comes out?
