Sales of the Nokia N97 and Sony Ericsson Satio come to a standstill in the UK
Sales of two of the latest Symbian S60 smartphones, the Nokia N97 and Sony Ericsson Satio have been suspended across the UK. Nokia´s flagship device is no longer available in the end-customer section of Vodafone´s UK website, while Electronista reports that the old link redirects online visitors to the page of the Nokia N97 mini. The carrier hasn´t made an official statement yes, but slanderers claim there are serious problems relating to the phone software.

At the same time, two major UK-based cell phone retailers, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U have withdrawn the Sony Ericsson Satio due to software bugs. Their representatives have already stated that many customers who previously bought the phone are returning their handsets for replacement, so the companies are currently working closely with Sony Ericsson on fixing the problem as soon as possible. On its part, the manufacturer has already announced that a software patch is coming before Christmas. The interesting thing is that all carries across the US have been selling the Satio for quite some time now and no one has even as much as breathed a word about suspending its sales.

We hope the problems relating to both handsets will be fixed soon, that the affected customers are not many and all of them will be compensated for the inconvenience.
