Rumors speculate that Opera Mobile 9.7 beta will be released tomorrow

With competition looking over its shoulder, rumors are hinting towards the release of the beta version of Opera Mobile 9.7 as early as tomorrow; June 8. As we've reported earlier, the WebKit based Iris web browser is now available for the starved Windows Mobile platform. Opera may be looking to counter the threat with its latest incarnation which combines the Opera Turbo compression server for lightning quick loads. Right now may be the time to finally release something that can set truly set the bar for mobile web browsing. We'll have to wait until the official word is out to check it out.
