Rumors about the Sony Ericsson Kurara spring to life
We´ve come across pictures and sketchy information about Sony Ericsson´s new cameraphone codenamed Kurara twice in the last weeks (also called the U5 by some) and now we´ve finally caught a rumor relating to the specifications of the mysterious device. The word has it the main difference to the Satio will be the 3.2-inch display with native resolution of 360x640 pixels and the camera equipped with 8.1-megapixel sensor and LED flash that will be able to capture HD Video (720p). Allegedly, the handset will come with more robust battery, 1,200mAh and not 950 mAh like the Satio. All other specifications are almost identical - ARM Cortex-A8 600MHz processor, 256MB RAM, built-in GPS, support for Wi-Fi, HSDPA and HSUPA. The Sony Ericsson Kurara will be based on Symbian S60 5th Edition too and the pictures reveal the OS interface is personalized similarly to the Satio. Every time we catch a whiff about the handset, the information regarding the charge port is different, but probably, Sony Ericsson will ditch their own standard in favour of a microUSB port and standard 3.5mm jack.

The aspect of the Sony Ericsson Kurara that never fails to grip our attention is, of course, its HD Video capture capability, something quite rare on cell phones these days, because the only devices currently offering the feature are exactly two, the Samsung Omnia HD and Instinct HD.
