Its going to be a low cost HTC phone to battle with the other heavily subsidized smartphones. Look for a $99 price point with of course 2 yr leave and die agreement and arm and a leg data package.

Your such a dong. I dont EVER hear of anyone complaining about at&t garbage 3g pile of crap data network and people have to pay 20 - 30 dollars for that...now thats something to complain about. Atleast Verizon is actually clocking 3g speeds...and they're only half of what Home ISP's are for thier connectivity..Your right about a low level PDA, Blackberry is intimidating to somepeople and so are many other phones, with HTC on VZW line up being far from cheap, this should make do for a poor mans Blackberry Curve. But seriously dont act like data isnt slowly weening itself into a requirement and seriously dont act like 29.99 for 3g data is THAT big of a deal, If it is to you than maybe you should stick to your moto 325i.

$99? That's low, I mean, we are talking Verizon here, it's probably going to be more like $129.99-$149.99. I will say though, with VZW doing that BOGO Blackberry deal for so long, trying to clean house on them, what are they supposed to replace the Curve with? The Storm has the Storm 2, the p.o.s. Pearl has the Pearl Flip, and the 8830 has the Tour... Nothing to replace the Curve with though... Hopefully that means the Curve 8930, or Jupiter, or whatever God awful alias it has will be coming to VZW.

This will be $49.99 AFTER a $70 mail in rebate. It will have Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, EVDO Rev. A, 256mb FLASH, 196mb RAM, WiFi, 2.0 mp camera w/auto focus, full global capability, and odly enough it looks like it will use a Mini-USB charger, not a Micro-USB.
