Rumor: Google Nexus 5 might feature a revolutionary camera with Nikon branding

Our tipster claims that the camera module will feature a "triple camera sensor thing" and have Nikon branding, which raises all sorts of questions for us, and we can't wait to verify the last claim: "camera is selling point, testing module now is better than everything else..."

The "touch sensors off screen" part means the phone will have a recessed small surface on the back to control the phone using touch swipes. Kindda like the side of the Google Glass.

Sensors in Nikon cameras are made by Sony, actually.
While we are it, the 13 MP sensor (that we have seen in several dozen phones recently) is also made by Sony. That's why magically all these phones now have "13 MP" camera. The reason is very simple: It's the same exact sensor made by the same one company in the same fabrication facility.
That particular 13 MP sensor is Exmor RS (names IMX135) .. this one
The sensor in IPhone 5 is also made by Sony.
What that means is that "Nikon branded" Nexus 5 would most likely have some 3-stacked sensor made by Sony, and Sony would be more than happy to sell it all other phone makers (if they ask for it).
