Samsung Galaxy Tab Active
One of the few rugged slates released by Samsung, the
Galaxy Tab Active will be getting a sequel in the not so distant future. A new report claims the South Korean company is already working on the Galaxy Tab Active 2, which might be officially revealed this fall at IFA 2017.
It's been three years since the original
Galaxy Tab Active made its debut on the market, but that doesn't seem to bother Samsung as the company believes there's a market for this type of tablets.
The revival of Samsung's line-up of rugged tablets is going to happen in Europe and Latin America, at least in the beginning. There's always the possibility that Samsung will bring its new products to other markets like Asia and North America.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 will be available in two variations: Samsung SM-T390 (Wi-Fi only) and SM-T395 (LTE). Specs-wise, the rugged tablet will position itself in the entry-level category, but it will feature
dust and water resistance.
No other information about technical specifications or price emerged yet, but since the tablet is already in the pipeline, we believe new details will surface in the coming weeks, so stick around for more on Samsung's upcoming rugged tablet.
