Rugged LG X venture launches this week on AT&T featuring carrier's "largest smartphone battery"
The LG X venture is built around a metal frame, offering what AT&T calls a "non-slip design" - the rugged texture on the back certainly reminds us of the LG V10 (an older rugged smartphone that AT&T released in 2015). The new LG phone is IP68-certified for dust- and water-resistance, so it should be able to survive under water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Furthermore, the handset complies with the MIL-STD 810G standard, thus being shock-resistant.
Running Android Nougat, the X venture sports a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display, and packs "the largest smartphone battery in the AT&T lineup." AT&T did not reveal the exact battery capacity, but it said that the battery supports quick charging, and can go from 0 to 100% in less than 2 hours.
The LG X venture will be available to purchase on AT&T Next starting May 26 (Friday) for $11 per month for 30 months. This means the smartphone should cost around $330 outright, which sounds pretty tempting to us. What do you say?
