Rogers to announce two new rugged handsets for sale?

If you live in Canada and have a penchant for dropping your cellphone on a hard road, or if you have a habit of watching your trusty handset swim in the toilet, then you should be interested in a rumor that is making its way around the 'net. Speculation is that Rogers will be adding two new phones to their line-up as soon as Wednesday. The Samsung Rugby A836 is a tough phone with a case designed to withstand things like dust, vibration, shocks, rain, and extreme changes in temperature to name a few. But unlike many cellphones that have been designed to outlast anything, the Rugby sports some mad features like 3G capability, an HTML browser and a 1.3MP camera. The ZTE Rock 165 is also built well enough to repeal most attacks to its system. It features a 2MP camera and 128MB of internal memory that can be expanded to 2GB with the use of a microSD card. The Rugby is expected to set you back $149.99 and the ZTE Rock is thought to be priced at $79.99, both prices depending on putting your signature on a 3 year contract.
