umm. Android already took out blackberry. the only thing ahead of it is apple and symbian, in which symbian is still #1. In takin on symbian they will blow past crapple in sheer volume of handsets, which will also encourage more app development which helps us all out.

Android is definitely a great OS with an awesome future ahead of it. I believe it can successfully coexist with Apple. Apple has always been a bit elitist. Always ensuring it used the best possible materials and software for its products. Controlling every aspect of product development and user experience. It has become more mainstream, but U doubt that it was ever intended to become a mass product. Android has the potential to be ported to all kinds of cheaper devices. It is by far a better OS than Symbian could ever be. Especially on budget devices. It has the potential to not just be cheap, but also provide a great user experience with many applications available.
