Roamware enables two phone numbers on one SIM
Roamwire, a roaming and Mobile Financial Services company, has announced their new Temporary Number Service. TNS will allow the user to employ two phone numbers at once, on the same SIM card.

While there are dual-SIM devices, many consumers without such devices could make use of an extra phone number from time to time. When selling items on Craigslist, for example, you could post a temporary number that would only be active for the duration of your item's sale. You would also be able to use that number concurrently with your main number, and only carry one device.

The Temporary Number Service will not only allow you to call and text from the new number, but also store those contacts separate from your main list. This will ensure that you only use the secondary number with your TNS-contacts.

To activate the service, users will send a message with the proper code, and then choose from the list of available numbers. As the service will be offered by the carrier, the phone will be remotely loaded with the new additional phone number.
