Results: LG G6 or Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+?
The Galaxy S8 is flying towards stores and pre-ordering early adopters. If you haven't pulled the trigger yet, you might be wondering "Well, which one should I go for — S8 or G6?". And now begins the infinite cycle of review-reading, camera sample comparisons, checking out various battery tests, benchmarks, and — for the patient ones — a couple of months' wait to make sure that none of the two devices have a plethora of defects. Yeah, we know how it goes — when planning to buy such an expensive gadget, one is careful with their money, and rightly so.

But there's also the possibility that, in your heart of hearts, you've already made a decision. Either due to brand loyalty, or not being able to take your eyes off of a specific device because its design is stunning, or just due to its hardware specs. So, we thought we'd ask you — now that both the LG G6 and the Galaxy S8 / S8+ are for sale, which one do you want to throw your money at?

All OEMs are going on screen buttons, so like it, lump it, or in your case it will kill you. Besides that you can change the on screen buttons, and as a matter of fact you can add more as well.

The G6 was obsolete the day it was released. Can't see any reason anyone would get this phone unless they are getting it at a massive discount.

I love my G6! I only wish that the camera was on par with the S8 (the wide angle camera makes up for it though) and I really miss my notification LED. Performance could be a little better as well: I experienced a few app crashes the first day (never had any on my Sony's) and wifi browsing isn't that much faster than on my old SD801 Z2. Other than that: it's awesome! it has a very nice screen with great contrast and outdoor visibility (the S8's is still better though), the battery life is actually quite good and its build quality is superb.

I got it because it was the only flaghip left with FM radio and T-Mobile had a good deal: €450 instead of €750 (S8 is €800).

thxultra you samsung lover and lg hater are funny.

nearly 35% of ppl disagree with you this mean there a market for the G6.

S8 and S8+ feel very fragile in hand and make me afraid of drop it but the design is very very sexy.

if the S8 active come to Canada i might get one.

LG G6 feel rock solid in hand and has a flat screen..

different phone for different need!

Don't hate LG at all just think they dropped the ball on the G6 at this price point. The processor is a generation behind, It doesn't support bluetooth 5.0, Doesn't support the 1gb lte network on T-Mobile in the US... I can go on. If they released this phone last year I would have said it would have been a hard choice between it and a S7. I do agree with you though no phone is for everyone.

If the G6 had a slightly better camera for low light then that would be my next mobile, I don't like the handling of curved screens & video looks funny curving around the edges.

I don't think i could ever go with a phone that doesn't have a SUPER AMOLED display no more, even tho my existing S6+ has screen burn on it!

I've seen the G6 Compared to different Samsung phones, and viewing the displays next to one another is like night and day! Until LG can slap an OLED display on their phones they just won't compete, and this is just one thing I'm talking about that Samsung beats LG on.

For me the only things I'm looking at this year will be the Note 8 and the iPhone 8. Can't see the V30 coming with an OLED!

Sorry going off topic, but this would be my main reason for staying with Samsung over LG.

LG is going with OLED in the V30. They're staring production of the displays in the 2nd quarter of this year. The only reason the G6 didn't have OLED is because they didn't get their panels into production in time. BTW,. LG is known to have the absolute best OLED displays ever, so when it is implemented into the V30, Samsung will lose that best display title they had.

Well if this is the case I might delay my buying to see what LG bring to the table. Although I will say that when I went to check out the S8+ the other day at carphone, the guy said that he couldn't stand LG phones cause they are the most brought back phone in the shop.

WOW This is poll results are kind of low for a massive company like Samsung isn't it??? LG G6 nailed it this time.

Neither. Very hard in taking a stance against buying carrier based phones living in the US but that is where I'm at. Only buy unlocked phones for me. In doing this is been able to expand my selection of phones and have owned just about every Android phone maker and blackberry.

S8 is the most disappointing phone Samsung has released in years. They went from one of the best designed phones to one of the worst.

Maybe I have fat hands, but bezels have gotten too small to actually hold and use the phone comfortably. My S7(not the edge) with no case on, I can't hold it above my head when laying in bed or if I'm taking a photo of something because to hold it securely and not drop the slippery thing my palm or fingers are touching the screen. When I have a case on it which I usually do, it's difficult to touch the edge of the screen because it meets the edge of the case. I honestly prefer the design of phones from 2014-2015.

As much as people hate the iPhone, myself included because I hate iOS, at least you can HOLD THE PHONE.

Never had a problem holding my S7....... the S8 is better..... holding the S7 with no case was always getting screen touches
