This step should have been taken years ago.
And should have kicked the person who made the company into shattered pieces...

I would love to see suri as CEO being an Indian.. if he becomes the ceo I am sure we will have Nokia producing Android phones in 2016... call me biased but we Indians have a very strong attachment with Nokia... Nokia used to be more like a national glory for us despite being an outsider.. sadly eflop and ms moles killed it.. :( ..

"The board has one chance to get this right."

That worked out great for them last time around.

Man I don't get you Droid fan boys. Nokia dropped of the planet & their neich was to use an OS that wasn't already flooding the market. (IE: Apple & Android) They chose MS cause it has great potential as we all see now. Every one I know the has a device loves it. The only drawback in my opinion is you can't personalize you home screen like a droid but neither can Apple. & the live tiles are better than Apple & Droid.
Hell their own mobile os Symbian was failing.
Y'all are hatin on them now but truth be told Nokia is back on top because they chose a platform that could make them money & not have to pay out to use it.
F*@kin whatever manufacture is using Android is paying out the ASS to MS just to make devices.
Hell even Samsung has their own OS they want to start pushing because they know Android is costing them money & could eventually fail because of it Just look at the position HTC is in now.
You clowns don't realize that they can now produce a Android device cause they are tied in with the people who hold the keys; give it time & it will come. In the mean time they need to change up just like every other company.
If I were them I place a person in charge for each global market. India, China, Europe & so on. Make their products gain some traction & a strong foot hold.
Stop ur whining cause you want a Nokia device & don't want a MS platform. Sit down & wait for it just like we all did when Apple came out with their 4S or Samsung came out with their S3 & MS had nada. Your time will come again.
Geeze such cry babies

it is glad to see Nokia is not dead. With the Billions it got from Microsoft in the future it could even return to sell smart phones but would have to rebuild a new Nokia special staff to do that. I do not know if they have the desire to return to the smart phone business. the Normandy OS may be used for Nokia's return to smart phones in the future if Microsoft does not have the rights to that OS
