Drop your new Apple iPhone 5s and crack the screen? That is enough to ruin your day, make you feel depressed and wonder why you have been singled out to bear this pain; according to a new report on Thursday, there might be an easy way to get the violins to stop playing and to regain your sunny disposition. All it would take would be a quick trip to the local Apple Store...

Shouldn't we read such headline :
"Apple admits that displays of iPhone 5 S/C are fragile"
If samsung offer such service , for sure the headlines will be like this. LOL
Just like, when Samsung put 12 bill for R&D , all iMedia wrote:
"Samsung admits .........blah...blah....iBS"

"Apple Store to offer in-house repairs..."
Good news for some countries, but not all counties have official Apple stores, so...
"In addition, equipped Apple Stores will also be able to replace certain parts on damaged iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models that in the past would have required replacing the broken unit with a new phone."
Sonds more like a bad news.
"Among the parts that will be repairable in an Apple Store are the volume buttons, vibrating motor, speaker and the rear-camera."
LOL! How often these parts are broken? :D

Official Apple stores are not in all countries so what's the difference for those Apple consumers who lives in countries without official Apple stores. There is such service or there is no such service, they won't feel any difference. Also it is rare case when listed parts get broken, so again it is more like a loud marketing tactic than really good service.

Seriously broski. Are you too blind to see the benefit of this?

For example in my country, there is no official Apple store just official Apple dealers so what's the point of all this Apple repair service for Apple consumers who lives in my country? And in the world is a lot of such countries which don't have official Apple stores. Also it is rare case when listed parts get broken.
Not al countires have Apple stores:
Don't be so pathetic, filter your expressions.

Great!!.........if you have an Apple store within 200 miles or so of where you live.

But by driving those 200 miles you're already spending around $50 in gas. Let's pretend that all you wanted to switch was a broken home button for the 5C = $26. Now, they tell you it could take one day if they're incredibly busy with previous devices waiting in line. You go back home and spend an approximate of $30 in gas. Next day, drive down the 200 miles one more time te get your iPhone = $30. Then going back home again = $20ish.
50 + 30 + 30 + 20 + 26 = ~$156 = The cost of your 5C's home button (without taxes) in a worst case scenario!
Gee - slow day today. Ignore my boredom. No hate intended!

That's great that they offer this. In person is always better than shipping it away or having to talk to someone over the phone no matter which way you twist

Wonder where Apple get the idea from?
Sammy offered already last year with Samsung Mobile Premium Service and only cost around 70 US dollar for screen replacement within 1 year warranty period. Phones incl. in Samsung Mobile Premium Service are Note 2, Note 3, SGS 3, SGS 4.

What's the point when not all countries have Samsung stores??? That's totally a marketing trick by Samsung.
