Report: 4.5 to 5 inch handset panels seen as being in short supply until August

Because handset manufacturers are launching a large number of new models in the third quarter, the omnipresent industry sources say that handset panels will be in short supply until August; more specifically, panels sized 4.5 to 5 inches are expected to be hard to find until then. Chinese manufacturers Huawei and Lenovo are said to have both placed large orders with vendors...

I think they need to give the panels to LG, Samsung, HTC, Apple, Nokia, Mototola and Sony. But the panels can only be used for their flagship model. Everything else should be put on hold til the supply increases.

It's "PHABLET" Season... It's time for the "NOTE III" and it's competitors to show themselves... "Flagship Season" is over this year, let the "Big Boys" fight it out. :/

A single individual, or maybe just 2, but they have the power to give you 5 to 6 reds (and give the same number of greens for their own troll comments). Some persistent dude, his comments has been consistently deleted over almost every posts he comments. I guess that gives you the idea.

4.5 inches is still in demand? Or anything less than 4.7 for that manner. I don't know a single renowned Android OEM that's producing a sensationalized device below the latter.

I personally think 4.5-5' is still widely the most preferred size. I wouldnt want anything over 5 inch either, but, if there are no options for me to choose from among the high ends i might have no choice.
