Despite the exterior changes, nothing has been added to the specs which means that the Huawei Mercury Ice is equipped with a 4 inch screen that has resolution of 480 x 854. This works out to a pixel density of 245ppi. A single-core 1GHz processor is under the hood with 512GB of RAM on board. 2GB of native storage can be expanded using the 32GB capacity microSD port on the phone. The rear-facing 8MP camera with AF and flash captures video at 720p while the VGA front-facing shooter takes self-portraits and enables video chat. A 1900mAh battery powers the phone and Android 2.3 is installed..
This is obviously not your high-end device, but for $149.99 without a contract, there is some good value there. Cricket is offering unlimited talk, text, music and data plan for $50 per month. And to top it all off, it looks like buyers are getting a free 8GB microSD card right out of the box.

If the Huawei Mercury Ice has a 1Ghz processor, then there is a change in hardware. The Huawei Mercury has a 1.4Ghz processor (http://www.phonearena.com/phon
es/Huawei-Mercury_id5662). $149.99 is also a better price than the Huawei Mercury which was $249.99, but is on sale online for $199.99.

Actually, the device in this article looks more like the Huawei Ascend G600 (http://www.engadget.com/2012/0
8/31/huawei-ascend-g 600-hands-on/ ), but with the camera and sensors switched and 4 capacitive buttons at the bottom instead of 3. I think that this could be the US/Cricket variant of the Ascend of the G600. Or it could even be a white version of the Ascend G330 (http://www.engadget.com/2012/08/31/huawei-ascend-330-hands-on/ )
