Very smart advertising. Lots of tech sites made a big deal of how at the Super Bowl the visibility of the iPhone in the post-game chaos was huge (and free) advertising by stars. This might cost Motorola a little, but the visibility factor could pay off very well for them.

What? You think giving a woman a complimentary shaving kit is a good idea?

I really hope, at this point, that this is just bad sarcasm.
On the off chance that it's not, as a man, I'd be equally insulted if someone gave me a new phone but made it a point to put it in a gold, sequined clutch.

They did the same years back when they gave them the Motorola V600 in their gift baskets. This phone was plagued by delays and wasn't released to the public when it was given to the celebs.

Motorola is stupid for signing an exclusivity contract on the Razr and Razr Maxx. If the Maxx was on T-Mobile right now I'd buy one today. Don't they remember the original Razr taking off because it was on every carrier in the world? Haven't they noticed the sales success the Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 have been due to their lack of exclusivity agreements?
