Real image of the HTC M7 appears?
0. phoneArena posted on 20 Jan 2013, 12:12
A few days ago, @evleaks revealed an image of a phone that was taken straight from a SIM card installation tutorial found on the firmware for the HTC M7, so naturally it was thought that perhaps this image was that of HTC's next flagship handset; as it turned out, the phone pictured was not the HTC M7 but now we have a picture that appears to be that of the HTC M7...

I like the first phone so much better. Especially when the screen was off not showing any of the Sense non-sense. Looks like Samsung and Motorola will have pick up the slack again.

i think the award of the best design will go to Xperia Z this year. maybe Sony must compete with itself in term of design. this is nothing in comparison to Z. Sony all the way.

I agree if we are talking design.. Sony does design very well.. I just hope they work out the small amount of issues before the Z comes out.. It might be my second phone

the only issues Sony must take into account is the fair price and fast release of the phone. Sony must remember S4 is on the way.

the s4 could be the biggest let down as many are hyping it up which could mean it cant live up to expectation. not saying it wont be good.
as for sony, the Z should be a big player, all sont needs to do is take a page from samsung and shove there phone in the publics face.
so far the general public arent aware of its existence (generalising here)

A 13MP camera on an HTC phone? Finally, a device that will actually be able to take full advantage of that camera resolution. In my experience, HTC phones have a history of taking great shots.

HTC, why oh why? You have a winner in the One series and the form factor of the HTC One X/X+! This is definitely a backward step and looks like your pain is likely to continue Mr. Chou....
HTC One X+ but with 2gb RAM, Sense 5.0, updated/new processor quad core processor, would have been a better bet than this effort

Oh now no one likes the design? I remember when the 8X was launched and news hit all the tech sites everyone was like "wow it looks nice, if it ran android but kept the design it would be awesome!" and other similar comments like that, but now that we've seen something like the Droid DNA we are all disappointed? Everyone is being hypocrites, we could go back to 8X postings and see those comments. I too am disappointed and I have been slowly been expecting this from HTC, 1st they don't put kickstands in any of their devices anymore which was a VERY competition differentiating feature that many of us loved 2. they stopped using metal on their flagship phones well heck everything but the One S last year 3. the damn OS update lag. This thing might feel outdated just by the capacitive buttons, I like to take full advantage of my screen size but they get out of the way when they are not needed ex: (landscape) youtube vids. I think if it did have a 5" screen and on-screen-buttons it would a resolve itself because it would feel like you are using a 4.7" screened phone then a 5" most of the time.

Looks pretty much like Windows Phone 8X. So I think it's the M7.
74. KingKurogiii posted on 20 Jan 2013, 19:46 0 0
it looks good. i even like the launcher and the icons on this which is a first for me from an HTC device. i don't like the way the function keys are arranged though.

I'm taking all of these leaked mock-ups with a grain of salt until I see an actual live picture of someone holding the phone. Both of these pictures have been said to not be the M7.

Obviously we can tell this would be some sort of rough draft design. HTC loves to put the capacitive buttons not the on screen buttons. Also the bezel is too thick, which I guarantee you it will be alot thinner when the accual device releases. We might not be seeing something druassicly different than this, other than those abnormalities this is a HTC.

could have done a lot better, I doubt this is the final design. At least it has hardware buttons

shoehorne? pray tell me how one can shoehorne an operating system into a phone? it has no mass, no form, just a string of bits.
