Higher resolution + 1.5ghz dual core Snapdragon = FAIL
The 1.5 doesn't even get good benchmarks with lower resolution screens.
This HTC Vigor will lag.

Not sure what your definition of a fail is, or what your experience is with lag. I am willing to bet it will not fail, and that this HTC will fly. Benchmarks are just fancy numbers that seperate the elite devices from the outstanding ones. This bad beast will be outstanding.

HTC Vigor to replace the Droid 3? that sounds quite incorrect. Besides the fact that they are from difference Manufacturers, they are designed for different audiences. The original paper simliar to this with the Vigor replacing the Tbolt was much more believable. That alone makes this quite doubtful.

I don't know what "Dfill" means in their terminology, but I doubt it means that phone is replacing the one to the left of it. The Vortex is certainly not being replaced by the Blackberry Curve.
I just hope the dates are wrong. I don't want to wait another month for my Vigor!

Dfill means "Direct Fullfillment", that means that stores usually aren't available to order phones for their store until verizon decides to let us stores carry them, this includes main corporate verizons. You have to order through the phone or the website. This is a way for verizon to make a lot of cash since they don't have to pay commission for sales through phone or internet. Just $10 a hour for some dude in a warehouse to ship you the phone. They usually release the phones within a week... two tops... then you can go to any verizon dealer and purchase the phone. Usually Premium Verizon retailers are better choices because they go through rigorous quality checks before they can be deemed "premium" and they spend more time with you unlike the main stores that just want to get you out the door and on to the next person..

So would that mean that the Vigor won't be available in stores until Oct. 20, but may be available online a week before that? Or that it will be available online/phone only ON Oct. 20 and won't be in stores until a week or two later?
