RIM updates BlackBerry IM and Social Network clients
While RIM has not sent out any documentation or publicity, the BlackBerry manufacturer has updated the IM and Social Network clients on certain handsets. For example, Facebook has been updated from version 1.6.0.17 to 1.6.0.21. Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger and AOL IM are some of the other apps that were upgraded. To get the updated versions, point your BlackBerry browser to http://www.blackberry.com/instantmessaging and let us know what changes you find.

Facebook Change log: * KB18441, informs that the unending “friends refresh” issue has been fixed in 1.6.0.21. * KB18442, provides a resolution and workaround for restoring BlackBerry calendar events during an OS upgrade when the Facebook calendar can become set as your default calendar. Basically, this version 1.6.0.21 of Facebook avoids that issue, according to the article. * KB18674, informs that Facebook for BlackBerry will display a maximum of 1200 friends. * KB16369, details the Facebook for BlackBerry minimum requirements.
