According to unofficial sources, RIM is prepping up to part ways with about 3000 of its employees on August 13. If the rumor is to be believed, those who are currently working on the upcoming BlackBerry 10 or enterprise sales should feel relatively safe for their jobs...

Can't run a business trying to sell something that no one wants now. Nokia is pretty much going down the same path. It's too bad...they used to have good products years ago. I think that Microsoft is waiting for Nokia's stock to be almost worthless before seriously marketing their Windows Phones, that way Nokia will be forced to accept a bargin basement deal from Microsoft for a buyout. That way Microsoft keeps their costs low as they pray for their products success...which most likely won't be very significant unless Android falls off the planet (something I'm sure Microsoft doesn't want to see happen).
