RIM launches UMTS Blackberry 8707g
Just like the 8707v, the Blackberry 8707g is a quad-band GSM with UMTS 2100 support. It sports a 65k color QVGA display with light sensing technology that automatically adjusts the brightness of both the screen and the keypad, according to the surrounding lighting conditions. The 3G-enabled device can also be used as a tethered modem for laptop Internet connectivity. The handset also features Bluetooth support, built-in speakerphone, 64MB of ROM and 16MB of RAM, but still there's not camera for video calling. The UMTS Blackberry 8707g is expected to launch first with Australia carrier Optus, but we can only guess whether it will be available in the US.
