Probably because investors would asked for RIM to file for Bankruptcy already.

why would investors want them to declare bankruptcy? That will cause their stock values to drop quick and cause them to lose a lot of money.

Because there's an ordnance as to corporate debt. In a bankruptcy filing, certain bond holders get priority over others as to who gets paid back their investment. Right now I'm pretty sure it is worth far less in the marketplace so it would be more beneficial for RIM to go bankrupt so the investors will get more more back. Stock holders are last to get paid.

That said, given all that's happened with the company and how much the stock has plunged, it would be silly to be long the stock at this point. I believe most investors are short and or are buying a married put to limit their exposure.

Who even has blackberrys anymore. The former "wise" RIM CEO felt like Blackberry didnt need all the extras and will suceed. well.....#Fail, #Fail, and #Fail 3x. They just need to sell the licensing of the enterprise email platform. Thats the only thing going for them. other than that? the OS is lame. it sucks for the Avg person not familiar w/ smart phones. you have to go thru 3 sub menus to get to what youre trying to do. next to no app dev support and below avg hardware consistently. Windows phone has completely rocketed past blackberry on its way to catching up with Android and iOS. They need to do themselves a favor and file for bankruptcy before they lose waaay more money. The demand for Blackberry in the market is next to 0%. Android, iOS, and Windows Phones are destroying you. you wont win.

Sell yourself to iOs and Android #TheEnd
#FlameON!!
