Did anyone here read that RIM invested with stolen apps?

Apparently someone download the apps in Google aps store, and put it on RIM APK converter, and then put it on RIM apps market.

They got $$$, and also a FREE BB10 prototype.

I wonder how many apps that were really NOT stolen in BB apps world?

You are correct, Ghost Rider. The app needs to be developed by the Credit Union you bank with. There is very, very little chance BB10 will have that kind of support at launch. I use WP, and my Credit Union has an iPhone app and that is it. If they did branch out, it would certainly be for Android next, not WP.

I do what every other non-Apple and non-Android user does: I use my browser to access the full web site. If you are considering BB10, then that will most likely be your solution for the foreseeable future.

or RIM/BB could steal Credit Union apps that were made for android (if there's an android version)...

They claim 70000 at launch. A big, but feasible number, given that there's been more fervor regarding BB10 than their has Playbook, and it is compatible with existing playbook apps. Also the fact that RIM has made it very easy to bring over Android apps. Phone Arena just did a story actually about someone that just converted the APK to BAR files and publised them on App World and was profiting off another developer's work, that's how easy it is for some apps.

I agree with you. I bet lots of the apps were stolen.

I think the developer of the stolen apps need to SUE RIM for not doing the background check of the apps originality.

OR MAYBE.... RIM knows that but accept it anyway to increase apps count.
